i’ve said this in other vids but blizzard should give symmetra a healing station called The Lotus. The healing station would look like the shield generator but the sphere is now a lotus flower and sym and allie’s within the area receive maybe like between 60-70 hp per second. Her ultimate Photon Dance could be where symmetra creates a blue aura around herself with ribbons that go around the edge of the radius and provides an instant shield, movement speed buff, and a purify effect that removes all cc for like 1-2 seconds (very short duration). The duration of the ult could be like 10 seconds. Her passive called Rejuvenated Shield sends out a pulse that looks like mini crystal shards that provides a 25 hp shield every few seconds (maybe like 3) up to 3 times to a max of 75hp shield. Then i would keep everything else the same but make the turrets prioritize low hp allies

I'd say have a button that makes the turrets heal a specific person, and maybe have the player customize the turret's priority system. is she getting her lasso back? I mean its not that hard to get away from, they have A GUN, Dashes, Knockbacks, headshot crits, DPS.

Considering her damage nerfs I feel like she should continue having damaging turrets because when they heal it doesn’t lock correctly. Maybe she should get an extra shielding ability like before, and/or when she damages shields or character armor she heals people around her and maybe she life steals or over heals herself granting her a shield to be tankyer!!!

No it's just cause the turrets lock on to the closest person. Then keep healing even when they are full hp. They should make the turrets heal people that actually need healing and then it would actually be somewhat decent

They could make her a dps/support. Like you can set the turrets to either do damage or heal her team. Let the turrets heal a teammate that is at the lowest health within range. And keep her primal damage the same. They didn't need to nerf that 😊

@@dokibunni During the beta stage of overwatch, Symmetra was able to continue getting ultimate charges after setting down her teleporter though stuck at 99% which makes me think she would be good during 2.0 where she has 2 ults and can potentially keep on supplying shield gens and TP.

@@Zipperskull_ Well, in my opinion, having three turrets forces the player to pick a priority in a fight. I think that having 4 turrets removes the choice because obviously everyone would go even. Not saying your idea is wrong but it removes the fun out of it. Just ky opinion though.

Being able to manually control who the turrets target would've been cool to see. Maybe she could have the ability to mark teammates and while that marked player is in range of a turret they'll prioritize healing that player.

Turret should heal more if they are close together. If you put 1 turret you will have 30 HPS (example), if you put 2 next to each other you will get 70 HPS and not 60, and so on. This would prevent keeping them and using them one at a time as you did on Havana (that was so funny but a bit broken)

For me the lasers from the turrets need to switch after healing an ally for full hp so it doesnt just stick to one person. Also would be nice to see her heal with something else than just her turrets.

In honesty, I think they should keep the old beam damage, and with reduce orb damage as it, but make it go through shields like old sym had it, reduce the cool down to turrets from 8 to 6 seconds since they only do 20 hp a sec so making it easier like brig's to throw out more often when moving around the map. Teleporter I think is fine. :3

I have some suggestions in case they do go with something like this: - Turrets should prioritize lowest hp instead of the first thing it sees cause sometimes it’ll just lock on to you - Orb should have a slightly higher splash range/damage if her overall damage is gonna be lowered - Should probably nerf her shields hp since like in this video, it’s gonna be hard to have to focus on turrets in order for her to actually die but still retain 225 hp - Some tweaks to teleporter since the speed buff with Lucio speed boost with have you at light speed And my most favorite thing - Have her photon projector act like her previous rework where her primary fire latches on but still keep the range it has now Just some of my suggestions but idk

the turrets locking onto the lowest hp ally is such a good idea. if some of these changes go through i hope they implement that because not having control over who you heal is such a built-in nerf. there isn't any other healer that can't choose directly who they want to heal and coordinating with your team about who needs to step the fuck away from the turret (particularly in lower ranks where comms are nonexistent) seems like such a hassle. either implement that change or increase the hps of the turrets in case it locks onto a healthier target so it can more quickly top them off and switch to a lower health ally. maybe reduce her damage a little bit more if the hps of the turrets gets increased just so people won't whine about symmetra still being able to melt people while in the support role.

Omg hi bestie I’ve been waiting for this vid since the experimental came out.. I would say a change I would suggest is to allow sym to target specific allies with her turrets and maybe also the ability to choose to target enemies with the old slow/damage, giving back some of her old ability to peel for herself/teammates. sort of like a zen orb situation, but with healing/damage targets. Another more simple change would be having the healing strength be based on the charge of her beam, it makes a lot of sense to me bc it encourages playing offensively and actually building charge for the team similarly to how zarya’s new bubbles give move speed based on charge. and allows her to build momentum for herself and her team! Thanks for the great vid as always :)

I feel like the state sym's been in is really good, If they let her turrets heal and keep her damage basically unchanged she could be a really good "3 DPS" comp support since role lock is 10000% gonna be in O2, so it'd probably fix the versatility issue, like, strong defensive support or divebomb passive healing DPS addition while on attack, seems great

I had an Idea where with Symm's secondary fire, instead of charging it up so it does more damage and grows in size, what if it was automatically full sized and started of yellow (for healing) and faded into blue (for damage) I think that it's an interesting concept. In my mind the charge time would be the same, the ammo cost would be the same and the healing dealt would be roughly the same as the damage dealt. This would solve the problem of only having your turrets to heal, and it would probably make Symm a more reliable hero.

I generally love support sym as I was originally a support main. However, the execution is a bit sloppy but hope we can get support sym back even though dps sym is fun in its own rights. I would love to have the turrets heal while they are in mid air, for some on-demand healing and maybe some a bit dmg on the beam? Just some thoughts and love the vid, periodt.

I found two things about healing turrets. If you stick them to the back of the point people tend to stay on it and enemies are less likely to shoot them because they dont cause damage lol

I had discussed the changes with some friends and the main thing I could focus on was prioritized turrets. So having a way to prioritize a heal target would definitely help. I don't like that they had kept the ult as shield but gave it less hp, I had thought that since they're fully just making her a support might as well bring back shield gen instead of a weaker shield. I think that the teleport is fine since it's a way of quick escapes and her dmg for just beam getting lowered I feel is fine, but they could instead keep her secondary fire to the regular damage and keep the increased dmg to deployables and such but make the orbs slow like sym 1.0

Her healing is so bad though, they should have made it were turrets prioritize healing people that actually need health instead of full hp people. Also give her something else to help heal like her orbs or beam.

I actually want a rework for sym if they want to make her a support. Passive: You get materials or energy every time you take objectives (points, cargos, kills, etc.). When you use one of your abilities you lose a charge. You also keep the ammo recharge on damaging shields. Ability 1: You build either a healing dispenser, shield recharger, or speed booster (with their own designs) and when you use this ability, the structure cycles (shields - health - speed - shields) Ability 2: You can place either a slowing grabber, smoke dispenser, or a weakening chip. These costs 2 charges to place. (Slow - weakening - smoke) Ult: Kept the same but allows her to shape one piece of the wall. I want her to keep with her lore of a great architect that benefits off of taking others spaces and land. Her new abilities will be valences where they are weak individually but with low cooldowns you can pull off amazing quick kills or put up a fast defense in a corridor. I want her play style to be someone who has to set up with kills and objectives but can be super fluid and overbearing with the right hands and smart players.

I haven't played OW in a while, but I used to play Sym a lot and judging from what I've seen/heard, I think that Symm's healing numbers are low, so the first thing that really needs fixing is what targets the turrets heal because they seem to still be targeting friendlies the way they would normally target enemies. I feel like each turret should prioritize whoever has the lowest health within its range or something along those lines. Also, if she's going to be a healer, she should have some sort of incentive ability or passive that makes the healing of her turrets stronger for those who just used TP (for like 5 seconds or sumn idk) or if her turrets formed one large healing generator when all three turrets are deployed right next to each other that made an area-of-effect healing while it is active... although, if the turrets actually targeted those who actually need healing, this might prove to be a bit OP. I think TP and the slight speed boost are cool, and I'm glad she still gains ammo from attacking shields.

I have an idea, but its very dangerous. Basically not adding a ton of healing to Symmetra as a support but moving her together with sombra to the role and reworking moira to also be a non-healer support. Ok, so I need a lot to convince anybody on that stuff, so I'll promptly start. OW2 will remove a lot of responsability off the shoulders of the healers, having one less hero to heal, and also they would get tenfold more vulnerable by the removal of a tank that would sponge the hits directed to them, so giving the support role more "utility heroes", that dont simply live to keep somebody alive would solve the vulnerability problem (now only one support has to be helped by the tank) and bring new forms of skill expression (allowing comps made around not needing as much healing as usual). Ok so now about Symmetra, all of her abilities currently are designed as "useful even when the character is not present", teleport and turret are deployables that stay in one place and wall has infinite range being able to be cast all the way from spawn. Though what it does mean currently is that you are still doing, something, after dying. Which in turn would mean that her only quirk is that she can die more favorably(?). My Idea is to give her a reason to not be present and be able to separate from her team even alive while also contributing to the teamfights from far away through: - turrets that greatly slows enemies but not deal a lot of damage (turret slows would not acumulate, favoring spreading the thingies and stopping the halt of shielding reinhardts of the past). - another ability that grants temporary shield to her and allies, and gets stronger the fewer allies are near her (helpful for dueling or avoiding flanks but also useful alongside allies). - and a passive that would slightly heal allies overtime if they are near one of the deployables. - something else related to mobility or vision through walls to give a reason for why she's separating from her team istead of anybody else. She, together with Sombra would stand as independent supports near Lúcio (ironically fitting as the hero is latino(Sombra) and a hard-light user(Symm)) while Moira would be a more team oriented non-healer support.

I had this idea for a while now. I doubt its perfect or will help make a good support sym. But hey, why not? I think her secondary could be the main heal but working like Ana where it heals an ally but damages an enemy and pierce shields. Perhaps the speed of it goes up or at least the charge up is lowered. Damage numbers would be lowered but still would be good at dealing with enemies while helping allies. And despite it being able to pierce shields, it will still retain the splash effects on an ally or enemy when it hits one of them. Giving her 80 or 85 ammo would be nice. Her turrets should have utility instead of being a basic limited heal. Maybe it provides a fire rate boost or damage resistance or damage amp. The heal can be there but it shouldnt be the only thing. Primary fire should pierce enemies, have the decay last longer and take less time to charge at a reduced damage. I thought about just getting rid of the charge and opting for flat damage with no decay or charge but eh. Maybe a passive giving shields to allies or herself depending on how much damage she does to shields. Tp does give a speed boost which I liked. Maybe if she destroys it it's on a lower cooldown. Wall would be good if her primary fire stays at full charge while it is active. And maybe if enemies pass it then they are slowed down for a little. I mean for me at least id love to see it since symmetra should be a support that is full of utility, some heal, providing good damage, but most importantly requiring great skill.

I think if they legitimately wanted to make Sym a support her turrets shouldn't be where her healing comes from. For healing to be actually useful in OW it needs to be fluid because the game moves around so much. I think her turrets should be an allied damage boost (like 10-15% per beam connected) but make her secondary fire orbs heal allies they travel through but still act as they do now when they hit enemies. So you can actively heal mid combat without giving up any of her primary/secondary fire damage completely. I also love the idea of her secondary fire doing more damage to shields and buildable items so she can be a utility focused support that can still defend themselves. So you have her abilities for utility, her secondary for healing/shield break and her primary fire for damage.

To be honest I don't know I kind of love Symmetra returning to that secondary support role, but here's what I think could make things better: - Can switch turrets between support and attack, difference being golden beams when turrets are in support mode compared to the usual blue beams for attack, I'm not ready to let go of portal bombs! - Primary fire could be able to also target allies and give them building shields that last a few seconds after she's stopped channelling so Symm has a second way to support people. It wouldn't gain any charge from shielding ofc. -Primary could become semi-lock on (again) so Symmetra can switch targets properly, and her turrets will prioritize the target she's locked onto depending on whether they're in attack or support mode/in range. I think it would be a great way to have more agency over who her turrets target, and there's really no point in it not having any lock on if the damage is being nerfed to pre-lock on state. To me her support's always been shields and her turrets have always been able to damage, it would be a shame to see neither of those happen anymore. 🙌

honestly, I feel that she shouldn't really heal… I know that sounds weird, but I feel her turrets instead should give shield. This means that anti-heal wouldn’t stop them from doing their job. Also if a character has shields/armor it’ll repair them maybe twice as fast and give an extra 250 hp as a shield to the person ( at any hp it will shield them up to 250, 50 shield per second [sps])? allow sym to choose who she'd want to give the heal to. also maybe make it like moira where she can choose if the turret is attack or support. if they reduce the dmg, i think they should give the turret more movement speed reduction. I really like sym current ult, though I think bringing back the option for a wall or team shield would be nice. (im trying to come into the idea with the lens that sym is being compared to other support, and what she will uniquely offer)

I really like sym as a support but I have a few tweaks of my own that I would add: Bump up the number of turrets to 4. Have her turrets heal but charge up like her primary fire. For example: 20 HPS for 2 seconds, 30 HPS after 3 seconds, and 35 HPS after 4 seconds. Each turret has 50 HP and can be hacked and destroyed, but during her ultimate, any turret that has been deployed will become invulnerable. This will last until her ultimates duration has finished. Keep her damage and ultimate way it is now in the experimental card but retract the speed boost buff from her teleporter.

If Sym will be a support, she needs more. -First, remove teleporter as an ability and give her a new ability where she deploys a station that generates either healing or shields by your choice (the heals should give like 30 h/p. Shield will give 25 health shield) in short range. One station can be used at a time. Both will have 100 health and 15 cooldown when destroyed. - Second, give her 4 turrets that either heal or damage by your choice and the healing turrets should give an AOE healing spray instead of a single-target laser while damage should be kept as single-target laser. (Healing turrets does 10 heals per turret. Damage turrets does 10 and slows enemies down) their cooldown should be increased. You can deploy different kinds of turrets. - For her ultimate it would be exactly like old TP and give speed boost for 2 seconds after teleporting. - And Photon Barrier should be a passive that whenever she maximum charges her weapon she would automatically generate a small shield in front of her that moves with her at all times until destroyed (150 shield). Once destroyed it would have a 10 cooldown. - Her overall damage should be nerfed. She may sound broken but it’s not, she will be far easier to kill without her current teleporter therefore her abilities are rightfully powerful to compensate and if they’re destroyed they would have long cooldown, Sym will be viable with these changes.

Ive thought for a while now that sym should be support again, but this is not how I wouldve done it. Theres a reason healing turrets have been a meme for a long time lol. Basic concept: I'd merge Turret and TP into one toggle ability (like moira orbs) and make her secondary ability a better version of her 1.0 shields. Instead of shield health though, make it an actual shield thats shrinkwrapped to the character for like 6 sec or something. If the shield wasnt shot at for a few sec, the shield's remaining hp would be transfered as healing to that person. Acting like an actual shield would prevent dying to single projectiles, but not to stuff like Flux or Rocket Punch so its not as effective as zarya bubbles. Give it like maybe 125 hp so it can survive a bit to chip but still be broken by single dmg boosted shots. And make it only available to 2 targets at a time so its not obnoxious to deal with. Also 4 turrets at reduced damage but they show targeted foes through walls pls. (Theres details Im leaving out but this comment is long enough already)

I just found out sym damage is kinda op. There’s three phases and it increases when damaging opponents/shields/turrets. You can feel your controls vibrate more and your beam is a brighter blue

sentries should prioritise: Healing target with most missing health (35hps per turret) > Other allies > dealing damage at 15 dps > when no damaged allies or enemies are around, stop shooting. keep the teleporter speed and increase the length of tp, time of wall from 12 seconds to 20 seconds. Slight increase to primary fire damage, Instead of the damage scaling linearly, have it increase by 45|70|100

I thought of a good idea that still somewhat keeps sym a 'DPS' but a support, like moria, her turrets could take damage and then use it for heals, and it was stop healing and need to take more damage from the enemy team, that way, you can kinda be a DPS while technically being a support.

My thoughts on Symm Idea of healing turrets I love. Execution? Not so much. Upon deployment, turrets should have a significantly decreased flight time, wind up, and cooldown (8secs to 6.5?) to match the fast-paced game OW is. And although everyone points out the target prioritization for healing and lack of turrets, I don’t see much people pointing out HOW FREAKING BRIGHT THE HEAL BEAMS ARE. IMO it should be a little less bright and opaque so that symm’s main, rather, only method of healing isn’t shut down as quick. If we do keep the really bright beams as they are, reduced CDs and maybe more Turrets would be the better change I also feel as if the TP speed boost and increased CD was unnecessary. Moira has fade, Merky has dash, Ana can sleep, Bap jumps, we don’t talk about Brig, Lucio speeds, and Symm… tps??? I get that it enables Symm to open up more team mobility, but the increased CD just hinders it’s overall in-combat usage. Plus, atleast a huge portion of the playerbase never takes TPs in games anyway, so what gives? but that’s just my take so plz dont flame me

Ok i got some RATIONAL changes i think would fit a support symmetra better 1. symmetra is classically trained in some form of indian dance so i feel she could have a buff in movement speed when changing direction side to side to give her a little more weight in her charge secondary bob and weave play.(Also give her a way to kinda be able to duck out of shots or hits as she has no real defense other than her barrier) 2. i aactually like the low healing the turrets do because they can be placed so quick now i just need them to be able to also repair BARRIERS as her tech is lightbuilding and most the barriers and sheilds are light constructs(obviously not a insane ammount of repair to a sheild probably a secondary objective once all teamates in range are full health and maybe ten armor back to a sheild per second) 3. girl give her the ability to grant small ammounts of sheild again...i mean thats such a support ability she had AND it fits so perfect with her story and character. the mf tech she uses BUILDS CONSTRUCTS so she just quickly throws some light construct armor over someone like she used to and it lasts a feew seconds granting maybe 50 armor that can really save a teamate when she cant throw turrets down or its a flanker too far away from the turrets.

If I were dev for the day and wanted to make support Symmetra... -I would revert the turrets back to offensive turrets with a snare. They were originally designed to help root out and pester flankers, which is a form of support in and of itself. The fact that you can't control who they heal makes them an unreliable source of healing. Even worse, the fact that they can heal Symmetra herself gives her far more self-sustaining power than a support should have; probably even better than Moira's duel sustainability. I would keep them as they were with three charges that can be tossed in the distance. -Her primary fire would have a healing component added to it, alongside the damage. Imagine a mini-Coalescence. However, I would probably remove the charge level, or have it operate differently to accommodate the added healing functionality. The secondary fire would remain the same. -I would remove Teleporter and replace it with Shield Generator. Instead of the old effect, though, it would redirect 50% of the damage taken by nearby allies to itself until it gets destroyed or until its duration expires. I'd like to give it 500 HP and a 15 second CD, but those numbers can be changed at the drop of a hat. The placement range would probably be similar to the current Teleporter, and the effect radius would be about twice that of Immortality Field. The Shield Generator would ignore line of sight. -The only change I would make to Photon Barrier is to tie the effect to a stationary structure that Symmetra places down to produce the barrier. This structure would have probably half the health of the field it produces. The reasoning behind it is to offer some possible skill related counterplay, instead of trying to shoot the wall down. On the other hand, if it is tied to a structure, it won't be permanently removed if Sombra hacks it with EMP, as long as the structure exists after the hack effect ends.

I would give Sym the old shield he had and also return his shield generator that also affects the allied shields giving them 100 hp more, so people would give priority to looking for it and destroying it.

I would honestly love the Old Support Sym but with the current beam she has and maybe a median of the damage she has now and in the experimental as well as giving her 4 turrets that can fly as opposed to the 6 you had to manually place and were limited to where they could be

Honestly, turrets that heal seem WAAAYYY better than turrets that deal damage. Just place a couple around a corner, close enough to heal teammates but far enough away to avoid getting taken out by splash damage. You can place them so much more safely when they are intended for healing, rather than yeeting them into the enemy and hoping the enemy team is too dumb to turn around and shoot them. (Yes, we lose TP bombing, but that's also only really useful if the enemy team is oblivious.)

Rework ult: Photon barrier now applies team shields, similar to lucio beat but it's a regenerative health pool, like how her old ult was... for like 30 seconds? Or maybe 15.. I dont know.. but give an extra 75 or 100 bonus hp, healable by supports. Or... Photonic orbital strike: shoots a piercing laser at a location for 2-3 seconds that heals 150/s and deals 75/s dmg can be about twice the size of baps lamp? ORRRRR...: Photonic Superbeam: amplifies symms primary for 6 seconds to do healing instead of damage, and it goes up to 200/s starting at 75/125/200. (Better if used after charging your beam off enemies.) Just some random ideas at night... idk.. I love her so much itd be neat to see something like that. (EDIT:THIS IS IF SHE STAYS SUPPORT!)

Let sym turrets heal 50 hps a second but can target two targets at a time, and make her ult some sort of old sym shield generatoe, where for 10 seconds allies gain an increase of 75 shield

My idea for support Symm goes as follows: Health: back to 100/100 Beam: 50/100/150 with 14 m range Orb: 100 damage and pierces barriers Turrets: 7 total (4 heal, 3 damage) Heal turrets do 25 HPS at 15 m and have 60 HP Damage turrets do 30 DPS and are otherwise the same Teleporter: 30% speed boost with 8s cooldown per person Ultimate: both Photon Barrier and Shield Gen. Reload key swaps ult to use since ult key swaps wall orientation and Shield Gen can be manually destroyed if it couldn't before (I don't know I didn't get to play 2.0)

I’ve said this so many times but I would like to see Sym’s orbs do a sort of heal, similar to Bap. I think it would make sense for her orbs to do a heal that is a temporary shield that will replace normal health but could go away after a certain amount of time.

the symmetra orb could now go through people and heal each ally it goes through like 25 hp and deal damage to every foe it goes through

Why don’t they actually make Symm a support hero and change her beam to be sort of like Mercy’s (except it’s healing and damage and still stays a straight line no matter what) but it takes a/few second(s) for the beam to switch and the healing still ramps it’s just 30/40/50 hps but it goes through everyone in her beam except there is less healing at the end if there’s a lot of people in her beam (Ex. If all 5 teammates line up in her beam, the closest will get 50, the second will get 40 or something, and so on to make her not completely broken)

up her turret count to 4 and make them heal 25 hp a sec, give her secondary the ability to hurt/heal like ana and buff dmg to 100, auto lock primary no dmg change, shield gen 1st ult and a reduxed teleporter as the second, move photon barrier to ability 2, 30 second cooldown, 10 sec duration, 2000 health and map wide, add a passive that makes her move faster while at critical health

Yes they should make the turrets go for the lowest hp person, but they should also make it do damage if a) everyone is max hp, or b) there is no one else around besides enemy players
