This KZbin channel will help you in your home ownership upgrade and maintenance needs. The number #1 task is to find reliable experienced talent that won't do crap work, sell you things not needed and back up their work like Steve. #2 is not to complain about quality parts/materials price...most of the less expensive stuff isn't built to last long.

I think Steve may have gone over there partially to do some damage control for his reputation by scouting the situation out and getting recorded evidence as a pre-emptive measure to something that this air head might try to hang on him. You can get your ass caught in the wringer with delusional characters like this.

Yes, Einstein leaned so hard on that plastic diverter with his hand while he showered, that he stripped it from the shaft. What an irritating man. Every time you try to directly instruct him, he immediately goes into denial mode with some vague and defensive response. Incapable of taking a simple question or giving a direct answer! "Do you like being retired?" He seemed to overthink the simple question and got caught-up into paralysis of analysis. Adults can have Attention Deficit Disorder too! I`ll bet they gave him so many "DEADLINES" at work as an attempt just to try to keep him FOCUSSED and productive! A guy like him could go off to lunch and forget to come back! I love my shower head from Lowes. I have not seen it mentioned in these features yet. My old one would clog-up the orifices with mineral deposits. This new one has a rubber nipples on each orifice that will break-up calcium, etc. just by rubbing your finger over them.
@jeffm27873 жыл бұрын
Steve could have handled this one better, the guy said the diverter was a problem and he wasn't wrong. The fact that he didn't know the exact cause was up to Steve to determine. On the other hand he should have just said, No work...you fix and walked away.
@craigharding4753 жыл бұрын

@@craigharding475 Just realized my comment could have been misunderstood. The customer should have played the caveman and said No work, you fix and walked away. I'm very sure Steve would have figured it all out on his own.
@craigharding4753 жыл бұрын
@@jeffm2787 You gave me an idea...when my new tech comes this fall to repair my oil furnace, maybe rather than trying to be helpful and give him details about what the last "Senior Tech" did, charged me $600 for, and (the furnace shut down a month later) I will say: "NO WORK...YOU FIX!" Hell, that might just do the trick! One of my biggest take-aways is that I have learned through watching this channel how irritated techs get at homeowners becoming involved and being "territorial".
@jeffm27873 жыл бұрын
@@craigharding475 Exactly, as much as I like Steve's videos he doesn't play well with others. He does a few things wrong, but if anyone told him that he's going to blow up and be distracted. My electrician got pissed at me at the end of a service call when I told him his multimeter was way off in readings (which it was). My education is in electronics so I trump him in certain areas. He wasn't very happy. Lesson learned.

I know more then the average bear. That being said I also know to not hover over the guys I trust. If I don't trust them I still leave them alone and then inspect the work after. Often I'll hire a 2nd or 3rd person to fix the F'up's others have done. Once I find the one that does it right I try to keep them. Hard to find a trustworthy HVAC guy, most of them just come up with BS answers that most people wouldn't question so they can sell a new setup. Edit: Arguing with the customer way too much on this video, don't work for people you dislike.
