what is "Elgar reference" at about bar 70? is it a variation of Elgar's theme?
@lauripaananen526310 минут бұрын
I presume it’s it is a reference to Elgar’s cello concerto.

How did you get musescore to play like a video so that you could upload the music sheet with music onto KZbin like a video?
@calebshepard8005Күн бұрын
Screen record the playback, add the audio in a video editing software.

That's such incredibly fast writing, I doubt an orchestra can rehearse this piece in 5 days lol. Did you have the sketch of the themes and motifs in your head before writing or did you write spontaneously along the way?
@calebshepard8005Күн бұрын
My usual method is to develop an opening theme that I like, then use that as the material in which the rest of the themes come from. I usually do this by sequencing a rhythm from the opening theme, but sometimes I copy the overall shape, intervals, or invert part of the theme to derive new material. Combine that with the double bar lines and it makes for quick writing! Thanks for your comment!

Inspired by Beethoven?
@calebshepard8005Күн бұрын
Not really, mainly Haydn- but Beethoven’s transformative genius is so far reaching. I’ve only ever listened to Beethoven’s Eroica in its completion- outside of excerpts and snippets, but so much of what Beethoven expanded upon was only possible because of what Haydn had already accomplished.

Art is at its best when it brings people together, not when it drives them apart. Rivalry in music is poison in my honest opinion.
