PSA: If your transmission is "jerking" between gear shifts, and seems temperature dependent, the issue is likely your solenoids.

Mine kind of decellerates between gears sometimes. Like a split second decelleration... And a slight clicky squeak noise that takes place when moderately accelerating.. any ideas?

I have these exact symptoms. The car jerks under light acceleration (500-1500rpm) and this only occurs when the car is fully warmed up. Can you provide further explanation or sources??

Mine jerks but stays at a a cool temperature the rpm’s go up normally and so does my speedometer. No overheating issues. I just noticed a very tiny leak on my driveway where it sat for a week. I turned the car to on but not started and had the AC running for about 10 minutes. It had me worried because the fluid was watery but oily. But not dark fluid colour so I’m wondering if the tranny is leaking or if it’s coolant

The last two times I drove my AE 100 Corolla car I noticed that the car would vibrate a bit when I shift it into Drive, but it wouldn't move and the engine would not throttle up. About three seconds after, it would make a jerk then move off.

2008 honda civic runs decent. No hard shifts but in-between 3-4 like at 35-40 cant make its mind up. Like justva lil incline shifts down and then rubs a bit shifts back up. Shifts in-between are smooth. Trans fluid is ok. Low running. Higher on dipstick off. Both warmed up. Heard both ways. I think honda wants it off and to check right after

Try to change the fuel filter and check the fuel pump if transmission oil all in good condition...

Auhh,my 2015 honda accord sport starts to "buck" whenever i start driving,mainly when im giving the pedal a harder push😢,a mechanic said it may need transmission fluid which he claims cant be seen as easily as the regular oil dipstick would be🤔🤔,is this a possibility?

Likely just solenoids that are oversensitive to cold temps.

this is also common with DSG transmissions, idk if the 06 has them but they do tend to be quite jerky

My 2015 328i feels like it’s slipping. If u floor it from first gear it slips a little, yet if you floor it when it’s at 30mph it accelerates perfectly. Any suggestions?

My auto has twice done this today I was at traffic lights in neutral put into drive but the car didn't move but was reving up loads I had to stop and move the gearbox about a bit! And it eventually moved should I take it yo a garage

Could a car sitting for 2 years cause a transmission to slip after warming up for 20 minute on a test drive. Could a dirty filter cause it to act like it's in neutral? It appears after it is shut off then wait 5 minutes it will engage for a little while then act up again.

Sometimes when I am driving at about 70mph, my car starts to slowdown but the meter is still at 70 and then the car jumps back into regular speed. Or when I'm at a light and it turns green sometimes when I step on the gas the car would go pretty slow and the meter would go up. I would even hear the engine rev a little then it jumps into speed. Most likely the reverse solenoid switch but it could be the transmission is overfilled.

Paqok kalemaj No, do not flush your transmission fluid. Drop the pan and refill. Drive for a day or so. Do it again. Now most of the old fluid is gone. Not all of it, but that's okay.

I did an engine swap on my Civic 2000 EX and since then the transmission has been acting weirdly. Before the swap it was perfect. When I'm loose on the gas pedal the gears shift just fine, as long as I'm below 3000 rpm. The moment i accelerate hard, the gear slips and gas pedal all of a sudden feels very soft. I need to bring my car to almost a stop and only then it will engage the first and move normally. Moreover, if I'm stuck in traffic, the gears shift with a small jerk. The transmission is S40 and put in ATF fluid when the engine was swapped. Do i need to swap the transmission? I'm getting a S4MA transmission in a great bargain.

Can someone help me? I have an 03 Tacoma 5spd and it seems my 4th gear is worn out. I don’t know much about cars but whenever I’m driving and I shift into 4th gear, it’ll say in gear after driving on it for about 5 seconds and it’ll shoot itself back into neutral and make a slight grinding noise. It started the other day and it’s happened about 5 times so far. Sometimes it’ll work and sometimes it’ll act up. During the times it does that I’ll skip 4th and go straight from 3rd to 5th gear. When I shift gears from 1,2,3, and 5, they all seem to fit snug and tight into each gear (not sure how to explain that) but the 4tg gear feels like the shift stick thing won’t go all the way into gear. Kinda hard for me to explain. Anyways, I’ve talked to a few guys that know more about cars. Some say I’m low on transmission fluid (which is good right now) clutch is bad, fly wheel is bad, gear slippage, and to rebuild my whole tranny. Last thing I wanna do is take it to the shop and have them rape me with bullshit. Do you guys think it’s worth me putting money into it to get it fixed? Or should I try to sell it ASAP and find a new car? I’ve only had this truck for about 2yrs coming on 3. I’m the second owner and I’ve taken care of it very well.

It sounds like it could be your torque converter, I would suggest having a clutch specialist shop have a look at it. Sorry I could not be of more help
