Do you know the typical symptoms of endometrial uterine cancer? And do you know which ones are early symptoms versus those that are late symptoms? Knowing this stuff can make the difference between recognizing endometrial uterine cancer early enough to treat and cure it and failing to do so. I’ll teach you all about it in this video.

My mother had to fight with her gynecologist 40 years ago when she was perimenopausal and started bleeding. He maintained it was only a sign of menopause. But her instinct told her it was abnormal. More profound exams confirmed she was right : very early endometrial carcinoma. Surgergical hysterectomy. She lived up to 88.

I was 55, still having cycles, spotting all the time and in excruciating pain for over 3 years. My GYN just told me it was my way of experiencing Perimenopause after my ultrasound didn't show anything. My periods became super heavy, with clots. And then I started hemorrhaging. I was rushed to hospital and had an emergency radical hysterectomy for a stage 2, 8 cm! endometrial cancer. I had to have 6 blood transfusions and almost lost my life. If anything feels off, please keep insisting on getting checked properly, and get a second or even third opinion. It could save your life! I'm lucky to be here.

Hello Dr Taylor. I am still here watching your videos in order. I dont have a uterus so I dont have a lot to say. But I did enjoy the sloughin the stuffin comment. This video makes sense. Bleeding when you shouldn't bleed is a great clue to remember about this cancer. Thank you as always for this education.

This lecture felt so balanced - the important facts, “positives” to know, no scaremongering … Thank you, Dr Taylor! 🥰🌸

Most doctors do not know how to "translate" our medical lingo into lay terminology. In addition, they don't invest any time in doing so during office visits. It's a real shame. And that's why I give this education to you. It empowers you to advocate for yourself.

I had endometrial cancer stage 1. It took my doc 3 years of me complaining about bleeding to figure it out. My bleeding was pretty extreme- I ended up badly anemic. Instead of my normal periods of heavy, heavy, med, light, light, I would get a HEAVY flood! All of a sudden, unexpectedly. The blood was a little on the clear side too. Then it would go normal blood the next day but heavy for 2-3 days. it might go light then heavy again too- with large clots. Strange, and I told my doctor so. But she kept saying this was normal perimenopause. It got to the point that I had a really sore lower back too, and a feeling of something in there when bouncing around at Zumba. I thought ah !! Fibroids, and was determined to get my doc to do an ultra sound at the next visit. She did, for the first time. at this exam feel the mass, and off I went for an ultrasound and it came up on the scan. I had thought the year before to ask for an ultrasound, but didn't follow through because I was so relieved to hear her say don't worry its peri-menopause. I wish I had asked for it, and now I ask for everything at every twinge lol. Anyway they got it all out last year, (lime size) and I'm doing fine. Moral of story, if in doubt ask for an ultrasound!

I had no bleeding whatsoever. Only had some intermittent shooting pain in lower left abdomen for a couple of days. That was it. I already had scheduled an appointment with a new gynecologist prior to this so when I saw her about a month later just thought I’d mention the pain. She ordered a vaginal and abdominal ultrasound. Showed thickness in the uterine wall. Set things in mention and turned out to be uterine cancer. Had a total hysterectomy. Age at diagnosis was 66. Oh and wasn’t on any HRT.

Hello Dr Barb, I'm 61 At age 55 I had a ablation for heavy bleeding. I was on Duavee from age 55 to 57, then it was discontinued. I tried to tough out my menopause symptoms. In march this year at age 61, I went on estratest to help with low libido, and hot flashes, that did not work out so I was prescribed 2mg of estradiol and 100mg of micronized progesterone. I then watched all of your vids and learned since I was ablated, I did not need to take progesterone. So after I dropped the progesterone June this year, I started getting symptoms of on coming period, then spotting, then in August a full on super heavy period. Went to the doc who did uterine ultrasound and discovered uterine lining at 12mm. Then was advised to lower dose of estradiol to 1mg, and restart the progesterone again (100mg) Went back 40 days later and uterine lining down to 7mm, which doctor is ok with. Bleeding has stopped with exception of some spotting. I am concerned I may have caused the uterine lining with unopposed estrogen, and now could be at risk for uterine cancer. Help

most gynecologists, when you go with a bleeding, do not do hysteroscopy. They don't have the training, they don't have the equipment.10 years ago I went to the gynecologist for abnormal bleeding and they gave me the contraceptive to control them. Today I still have abnormal bleeding and pain when sitting down...I'm going to have a hysterectomy, but I'm afraid of the worst
