Good Detailed session, Thank you!.. I have a question on How to deploy stored procedures of database using CI-CD pipeline of the database created in Dedicated pool.

Great video! Tks. I have one question though. Imagine the following scenario. The client has three environments, four teams are working in DEV environment, they want to promote the code individualy. As of now, if two teams(TEAM A/ TEAM B)promote their code to UAT and one team gets the confirmation(TEAM A)/okay to promote their changes, the current CI/CD process will promote BOTH codes(TEAM A and TEAM B). What would be the approach? Would you build a CI/CD process from DEV to UAT and once approved there would be another process pushing exactly the same pull request form DEV to PROD? Does that make sense? Thank you.

Is it possible to selectively promote workspace artifacts, such as single notebook, code grouped under a folder etc ? Or it has to be always all or nothing within a workspace ?
@thefabricbuddy Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, you cannot cherry pick the artifacts you need to deploy in Synapse.
@howiefu52828 сағат бұрын
You have to do it outside of Synapse Workspace. Up till now, Synapse Workspace does not support cherry-pick but you can still do that using git command.

Any tips on cicd for dedicated/serverless sql pools? Also, if you create the required spark pool in another environment, does it need to have the same config? Or just the same name?

Second this. Good questions

We have already released a couple of videos covering cicd for dedicated sql and very soon a cicd video for serverless will be released 😊We strongly advise compute pool naming to be consistent across enviroments to avoid the additional effort of doing custom parameterization.

@@AzureSynapse could you sort the videos from your playlists , like this kzbin.info/aero/PLzUAjXZBFU9NPD095eD-9TOHk3O7DExdl . Currently video are not in sequential order in playlists which make it difficult to know on which video should be watched first. Thanks !

Seems like the Release Pipelines are no longer an option. I only have Pipelines, Environment, and Library. Ok, I found how to enable the classic Release Pipelines in "Project Settings" or "Organization Settings" under Pipelines>Settings>Disable creation of classic release pipelines (turn off)

I love these videos, I am slowly making my way through them. But the hissing in the background when you are demonstration while sharing your screen is killing me. I am not sure if it is something that is fixed in later videos or not, but I really hope so.
