With Riven, you either are a god or a really bad player there is simply no middle ground, her skill ceiling isn't high but knowing when to time everything and keep your calm under pressure is what separates good Rivens from everyone else, they already nerfed her shield cd which was the main issue. I think the thing that triggers everyone is that they can't abuse her and those who can stomp everyone, think about it, if she were that good without skill everyone would be spamming her to climb elo.

Nowadays, I don't play the game much anymore, and I stopped playing Riven entirely for a very simple reason: With my current playrate, I'm simply not able to keep up the skills. I can play champions like Fiora, LeBlanc and Zed fine still, but Riven is just TOO HARD to play if you don't get to keep up your skills semi-daily or more frequently.

One of the things that stood out most to me in this video is that, being streamers, they comment on everything they see. That means you constantly hear people reacting (and in ways that aren't annoying, after all, people wouldn't watch them otherwise) in a highlight video like this, and I bet it's pretty similar when just watching full games. Oh, and of course, it means the Rift is filled with 10 players that will, when in doubt, go for the play.

@Xiverz because they sacrifice other things for that mobility. Riven gets a shield and three-charge aoe DMG, and a passive auto DMG charge. Go figure

I have to desagree man, yes riven is annoying but she is one of the hardest champs to master. A good riven can do that but a bad or medium riven is beyond useless. And thats not broken, thats skill, boxbox have been playing her for the last 6 years. Another perspective is for example aatrox and jax, they are way more broken then riven, they have mobility but they dont even have the need to run. Those 2 could just fight it off, aatrox would heal his whole hp in seconds, jax would just cc and oneshot you while being a tank. What im trying to say is, yes riven is a fking stupid champion but it is one of the few that those outplays are a reward for mastering that hard af champ

Sure, mastering a champ should give you quite a bit of an advantage, but when your mastery allows you to ignore counter matchups or whatnot, that is just poor balance.
