Dealers should use this for new customers. Well done!

Sync 4 is definitely more mature of an interface than the Sync4A experience. Great video!

Well done video. I am expecting my Lightning tomorrow - so learning as much as I can before it arrives. It has the 12" screen so this was perfect. Ford has done a good job - the only criticism is the responsiveness. I wish they had a better processor for the system so that you don't feel the lag or the non-responsiveness to inputs.

Thank you! I haven't really dove into the processors or memory behind the screens but that would be an interesting video to look into putting together. There is the occasional lag but I don't think I've come across an infotainment system that didn't have one. Exciting about the new ride too. Curious, are you doing much towing or is it just for a daily driver?

@@CarsWithSteve Having used iPhones and iPads now for well over a decade, I have become accustomed to a fast, responsive interface. I find that auto and TV manufactures lack behind in the interface experience. Occasional lag might have been expected in 2013, but in 2023 it should not. I'll find out this weekend! I'm looking forward to the F-150 Lightning. I'm in a small West Coast community and the extended range Lightning will allow for trips to Vancouver and back without charge (Victoria with one charge along the way). I have the Max Tow Package and will be towing a boat, but everything is local. Maximum round trip will be 80 km, so it will be the perfect tow vehicle. Another nice benefit will be ferry travel. Being in an isolated community we have LOTS of ferry trips and in the winter months it will be nice to sit in the vehicle and have the climate control on! Fuel is very expensive here and paying around $0.10/kWh makes an EV a no brainer. I'll be getting the Ford Charge Station Pro installed at home. Not the full 80 amps, but it will great to have. Again, thanks for your well done videos.

It sounds like you're the ideal Lightning owner. Short towing trips or daily driver is the market for the Lightning until range and charging improve. Great call on the home charge station too, it makes a big difference. How available is public charging for you in your area?

@@CarsWithSteve I'm in Powell River - there is a BC Hydro Fast Charger plus about 4 Flo Level 2 sites (2 chargers at each site). Pickup up the truck yesterday. It's great. My biggest beef right now is the software update - I can't force an update and I don't have the latest versions of SYNC/Powerup. Based on my on-line research it is just a gamble if and when your software will update. I know mine is older because I don't have Phone as a Key nor do I have the battery percentage on the main display (these came with previous updates).

Good there are some charging options if you're in a pinch. Odd about the software version though I don't get why there wasn't a mass update pushed once the build was determined to be stable. Hopefully you get it sooner than later
