I feel like Tencent and NetEase keeps making these third-person modern shooters that just come out and fade into obscurity. There's no real attempt to set up any convincing lore or world setting and they all feel like tech demos.

Both companies (and let's add Netmarble as well) don't care about the artistry of their games. They just release generic games with good graphics, but it's just the most boring game ever and they look like copies of other ones. They just want to do some cashgrabbing (and it's working, people are praising them, look at the several millions that new generic Tower of God idle garbage is banking).

Tower of god is average to me, played for 2 days and uninstall, it's ok but like you said it is very generic, I need something that is unique to play that doesn't bore me in 30 mins play time

I wish the shooting was a bit closer to Snowbreak. The guns feel really good to shoot in that game even when shooting bulletsponges.

DUDE! I thought the same thing when i saw this! I Played defiance back in the day and it was a disaster. they were gonna pair it with a miniseries that foretold what was gonna happen in the game. I tried the updated free to play version years later and it was still a mess and still pretty much the same gameplay.
