love 'ya Jesse. Thanks again for the clarity! My first placement is scheduled to air very shortly due in large part to your clarity and training and motivation. I would not have had the courage understanding or skillset to do so without being involved in The Syndicate and sync Academy. Best regards, Trevor

@@SyncMyMusic Hey bro, I literally just found out that a track I wrote last week for a custom op was accepted for use on a crime show on the Oxygen network and they want more. You've said it a 100 times, "reference tracks!!!" and it works, of course. :0

I'm VERY VERY much with this Pledge and every single point you made. After watching this video again, (and now being a part of the Sync Academy) i'm inspired to add a point on my sync60 challenge: assessing my skills for Syndicate membership. I may have many weak areas with getting around in my DAW quickly at the moment, but when it comes to having creative ideas on a daily basis and the mindset you mentioned here; i'm pretty solid. Loving the accountability with this group and my "new" producer lifestyle! Many thanks Jesse

When I was a kid I went to school for music for jazz guitar but my parents talked me out of it and I went into graphic design which led me into advertising production and marketing (web, mobile dev, video production, 3d modeling, etc) on the interactive media side. I never stopped playing or writing music. Im in a band were making a double album and releasing it but Id love to just do music for film (maybe make my own music videos as well using sound design and programming with whatever other instruments I decide to put in) and Ive touched on a lot of genres and have equal amount of talent.. Ive perfected two unique styles Id like to go under two different names but not sure if thats a good idea. I want to get out of advertising other peoples products and services and just do music production full time which Ive been doing on the side for years just never marketed it which I know how to do. Am I in the right place? Id like to break into the music full time instead of semi pro week end guy. All my free time is spent in my home studio.. I dont have a desire to go out or anything but. I live to write. Signed up for your site. Any advice? Im willing to reduce my income to make the switch to full time. Even if it takes me awhile. I think my marketing experience may help but the industry has changed and want to make sure Im at the right place? My market place would be for other artists like video artist collab or hopefully film scores.

I know it doesn't matter but what gear do you use to make and produce the music (gear, computer, etc.)? Thanks!

Fantastic info and motivating reasons behind why and how we make music! Question for you, what do you think about selling stock music exclusively on ones own online store? That is what I have turned to. Thanks!

I've recently got into producing my own music, and happened across one of your ads on Facebook. Your video didn't give off that "Do this secret sauce thing and make BANK OVERNIGHT!", so I gave it a shot and signed up for the 5 day course. I'm glad I did because I've been kind of lost on what I'd like to pursue as a career, but I think composing for film just might be what I am looking for. I'm really enjoying your content so far! I just have one quick question. How long did it take you to get to the point where you felt you could start putting your music out there?

lol it's the internet. I don't take it personally - people are free to express themselves as they please. But when I look at my overall like/dislike ratio of my videos, I think my content is generally considered useful and valuable to people.
