Hi Jan, you don't have to worry about the robustness of the wheel. Globally, the Silverton SL is way more robust and resistant as a normal wheel, due to its specific construction. For example, the carbon spokes of the Silverton SL are 35% more resistant than traditional spokes ;-)

If you get a branch in there will the wheel survive?

If a branch gets in there and breakes a "spoke" ....... beye beye . Think this is just for the prós that don´t pay for them.

What happens if a branch gets in your eye? Ride more carefully, think with your own head and everything will be fine.

@@sous582 it won't, or first it must break the glasses to get in my eyes. Real mountainbiking has its risks. We don't have clean trails. And I think with my own head

@@simaomartins3123 it was a rhetorical question. If a branch stuck in a wheel could break a carbon rod (called a spoke), you are more likely to fall off your bike and suffer concomitant injuries to your limbs or head. And this is called a glitch. If you somehow break a carbon rod, then in any city there are workshops for the repair of carbon parts. For example, in my city there are three of them! For a modest $ 30-40, any damage to the coal will be repaired. It's easier than threading aluminum or steel.

@@sous582 I think this type os products are for competition only, or for the people who worries about weight. My enve M525 with Chris King hubs weight about 200 grams more than this full carbon wheels (according to the weights claimed by manufactoers). My friend has the same setup and with a broke spoke caused by a branch he took the spoke out and had a new one. Easter, and almost inespensive.

Why didn't you call out your competitor's by name? by my research, the roval control SL's are lighter, cheaper, wider (currently available) way better warrantied, and the spokes are replaceable. i currently own silverton sl's and they are great, but a 1v1 video (like microsoft's ipad advertisement) would bring more confidence in the wheelset. Also, sending Nino out to destroy a pair like danny Macaskill did to a pair of reserves would be awesome!

how many pounds of air is recommended to use on a carbon tubeless wheel ??

Hi, thanks for the question, we don’t give a recommended pressure as it’s totally individual to rider. We do recommend following tire manufacturer settings on the side wall. Individual settings can vary by rider weight (we have a maximum weight of 120kg for rider and bike), conditions and tire brand.
