This was the electoral campaign for the Interim Batasang Pambansa on 1978. It was the country's parliament as we were under parliamentary system at that time.

Supposed to be British-style parliamentary system sana pero due to the amendment in 1981 naging French-style na semi-parliamentary / semi-presidential system ang gobyerno.

we weren't under parliamentary system that time. supposedly yes, but Marcos changed it to become a dictator. He knows that parliament is not a one man rule.

De jure yes, de facto no. In reality, ke-president o prime minister iyan, concentrated lahat ng kapangyarihan kay Marcos. Rubber stamp lang ang parliament, formal state apparatus pero in reality wala talagang power yung institution, same with Prime Minister Virata. Marcos ran the country under an authoritarian presidential system from 1972-1986. Ang masama, forever na nito napasama ang imahe ng mga Cha-cha attempts ni FVR, GMA, at Duterte since laging kinakabit yung salitang Marcos sa 1973 Constitution when in fact, isang Constitutional Convention ang nagsulat nun at hindi si Marcos.
