You dont need data Google pay works for. Me offline. (for a limited amount of transactions anyway)

It's a £30 limit if you use your card for contactless payments but with Apple Pay you have to use your fingerprint to complete transactions so therefore it's far more secure so you can do (I think) any amount.

Some banks here in Australia can actually do Cardless Withdrawals at ATM's - you should check to see if your bank does that service - in case problems like your card going missing occurs again.
