thx for the video! I've played A LOT of syndrome and can confirm that he is one of the most exciting / ambitiously designed characters yet.... BUT there will be tons of confusion and incorrect plays at any gametable that plays him. He is definitely for advanced players, and even advanced players will be annoyed running into small "edge cases" of confusion about how to sequence upgrading, card placement, etc. There is a fair amount of clarification with him that isn't on the cards, but buried in paragraphs of text in syndromes rule book. There's so much clarification needed for the omnidroid that there isn't any room in his rulebook for the usual "cards to look out for" section, that help you to learn Syndromes play-style. Dispite these negatives, His playstyle is seriously amazing... my advise. 1a. Dig out 2 hero's yourself (for the omnidroid to vanquish) using "Mirage" & "15 yrs later". Make your "kill spot" the "Par House" (freeing up your money, discards, both vanquishes and double-plays) 1b. At the same time.. DISCARD as much as you can to get all 4 Modification cards in hand / on the board. Upgrading to v10 as fast as possible is the best way to avoid "digging through your deck multiple times" 2. IMPORTANT: play the remote to "Metroville" and defeat v10 there asap (even if there are still heroes on your board) 3. you'll need both vanquishes open and bio probes to defeat the barrage of heroes that will be coming your way.

I’m looking forward to these next few solo play throughs. Though a fair warning. Lotso is very difficult when using the fate when your about to win rule since 8 of the remaining 11 cards (because you have the four heroes on your board so it makes it 11) will ruin your objective, so you’ll need to play a little smart when trying to finish his objective.

What kind of card sleeves do you use? the ones I bought seem to have more extra plastic at the top of each card. the extra bit makes it difficult to fit in the standard box insert.

Jack-Jack doesn’t get the remote it will only be the rest of the Incredible family and Frozone, Omnidroid V.10 is always played to Downtown Metroville at the top of your realm if the remote is not taken. You just have to go the same location with the Remote activate it and then you win. If you want an overview of Syndrome check out Marty Harman he explains it very well.

I believe it only says to put Omnidroid V.10 at the top of your realm if Syndrome’s remote is in Syndrome’s realm.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I read a rule clarification that states allies are NOT discarded in a vanquish action if the hero's strength has been reduced to zero, as is the case with Dash at the beginning of this play. Wouldn't that mean that you'd have to vanquish Dash, but keep Omnidroid v.X8 until you're able to discard him in a future vanquish action where the hero has a strength of 1 or more?

You can use as many allies as you want in a vanquish action. Any that are used are discarded. Normally, you would choose the minimum required to vanquish the hero, but in certain circumstances, like this one, you would choose more than was needed. He wanted to discard the omnidroid so he could start building the next one. But you are right, if the hero has zero strength, you need a total of zero strength discarded to vanquish them, so don't need to discard any.

How can you just remove the major modification without any action? You just took it off the board? Shouldn’t there be an action? I’m pretty sure you would use a play a card action to remove the modification and add the next droid to the board rather than just doing it with no action.

It's like Ultron from the Marvel Villainous. You can remove anything from your domain at any time. No PAC space is needed. My friends and I debated the rule forever, and did some research. That's what we found.
