Hi Sir! Hoping you might time to answer? I've got a Syn2, the SLO module and a Fryette 2/50/2. Is it worth my time to venture into this module? I do love the SLO module with said power amp BTW. Is the graphic eq on the pittbull as responsive as I've heard? Thanks.

My first major gear purchase was a VHT Pitbull Ultra-lead. $2600. For the time it had a great clean channel for an amp that also had very robust high gain channels. But there was no nuance to the amplifier at all. It was just in your face all the time no matter what you did. No matter the volume. I remember it was very low noise for a high gain amp.
@brennanpatrick3 жыл бұрын
I bought a Pit I’ll 100 CL with the EQ as my first major amp in 2006. I know exactly what you’re talking about. The clean channel has a beautiful shimmer . I still own it.

Trying to choose one or two Synergy modules is way too hard; Synergy needs to produce a six to eight-bay integrated system! Imagine a rig with: Uberschall; SLO; VHT UL; Vai; Freidman BE; Engl Savage. Oh I know - a James Brown 5150-theme module next~

Very NEWB question. I've been seeing demos quite a bit lately of these Synergy modules. How exactly do they work? Are you simply able to have them connected to a cab and they can power the cab or up to a computer and run a cab sim on there for use?
@bayouboattrash4 жыл бұрын
It's an actual amp head that you just plug these in like pre amps. You can have a sparkly clean fender and then this all in one package.

You buy the synergy amp, which is basically the power amp section of a typical tube amp head. Thats what you see here in this video. Then you can purchase these "modules" separately which are the preamp sections (where the characteristic tone of most amps comes from) of certain amps. Plug that module in like so and its supposed to be able to give you that specific amps tone. So you basically can switch out modules to get different amp tones instead of buying multiple expensive boutique amps, etc.

I have heard rumblings that a revised Ultralead will be coming out this winter. He has a small team and with how crazy the world is, timelines may change, but hopefully we will see one. Power scaling, I would be down with, but I am a dinosaur who owned a late 90's Ultralead and I want the ability to break walls with all 4 kt88's and 120+ watts. :)
