Excellent way of tutoring. KZbin lacks good tutors like you. Upload more such tutorials. However, many things of SynFig have changed since you have created this video before 8 years. It would be very helpful if you can update your video to suit the latest stable version at present.

+Citrine Nerd You can use a tablet with Synfig, but it is recommended that, with the shapes you plan to animate, you use your mouse and the spline tool, editing the work using the handles on the points you create. Drawing with a table can create a lot more points to manipulate when you try to animate them. Using the spline tool will give you a minimal amount of points, which makes it easier to animate. Of course, you can do it either way.

Okay, my ver. of Synfig is 0.64.1 and when I was linking the petal it would force move the position handle above the bud on the screen. I have to then move the petal independent of its position handle (green dot). to where I want it and then it finally worked and grew with the flower. Odd. Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit is the OS I am running it on.

For our purposes, we wouldn't have to deal with making the pedals invisible and visible right? Because you were just showing us how they stick with the linked vectors. And you keyframed it like that

I know it seems like a lot to ask, and I 'm sorry if i missed a tutorial but what about animating a complete mini cartoon, say like 5 minutes, and i know you said you there isnt a option for audio but is there another way to add audio? like out of the program? I'm very very new to this but so far you videos are really helpful. thanks.
@Bownimations019 жыл бұрын
chuck Core The best way to do it would probably combine audio and video in a video editing software ^^ Personally, I'd suggest CyberLink PowerDirector 13. To get the timing right for the frames will require you to listen to the audio repeatedly as you create the frames, so it may get annoying, but it will be easier to combine if neither is out of sync, since after all the tedious work, you can just line the two up. It's how I used to make animations a few years ago. It'd be a little bit more difficult since it won't actually be able to be lined up as you work, which means more listening to the audio and more annoyance. However, when you finish the product, you get a great sense of accomplishment because you put more work into it than most other animators how have software that lip syncs for them, fills in the in-betweens, and allows audio to be imported and came out with a product you could be proud of, at least for that time being. Of course Signify should only be a temporary program, so you can save and get one that gives you those luxuries to save you work and time. Until then, just bare through the audio listening and the hours of work ^^' For a 5 min. cartoon, it might even take a few days depending on detail. Any longer, and you'll be spending quite a while animating ^^'

If I were naming groups and layers, I would types the names of all groups in UPPERCASE fonts and layers in lowercase letters, sometimes with first letters being capitalised. On groups, don't bother adding word "group" as in "Petal Group." Why call group PETALS instead? When you see all the names in UPPERCASE fonts, your eyes can quickly distinguish them as groups.

Good tutorial. ! If i create a new petal instead of copy,then i have to link it again to stem? How to do , if i want petals appears one by one in the animation ?instead of all at a time.
@humb1s3rvant5 жыл бұрын
Yes..because you duplicated a linked layer, the duplicate will also be linked to stem point..you could link them separately with different process, but that is more work (and flowers don't grow that way, so not necessary)

How to change speed of animation? I mean, how to make it not linear? For example faster in the beginning and then slower on the end of animation of the same shape.
@darthfurby6 жыл бұрын
You can change the interpolation by right-clicking a waypoint. For more see: wiki.synfig.org/Timetrack_Panel

Same problem...
@jeace994 жыл бұрын
I have found and answer: «Everything links perfectly as long as neither origin is moved before the link ! However, as soon as you move either origin, it offsets the linking location by however far the origin was moved. So, it appears that a shape moved the origin of the other shape after she placed on the origin. The way to fix it easiest is to not move the origin before you link. Link offset by origin, is not absolutely intuitive, but allows for some powerful and flexible editing when things get complicated. Play with it until you understand it ;-)» wiki.synfig.org/Linking

@@jeace99 You are merely copying the content of the manual here which itself is complicated. A more detailed solution is much appreciated.
@jeace993 жыл бұрын
@@lianjuoixiekiang6684 Well I didn't «merely» copied, I've quoted the manual (that's why I have used the quotation marks). I've used that explanation and it helped me, I thought it was straight foward enough. Sorry if it didn't help you.
