thanks for the video, i think AD, is an old past, more in Synology (from server or as internal service) because AD ignores, new VPN services, Vlans, and with a good router you can do DYNAMIC policies of security.

I think you can use Remote Server Admin Tools for Windows 10, which allows you to fully control to the AD on the NAS. I am learning and about to purchase a Synology.

I noticed you used the term "work group" in the video. Am I correct in assuming that you still need to be running a Pro version of Windows to use this? Thanks for the video.

In AD, the term workgroup is a little bit different than what you’re thinking. It’s simply reference to the Active Directory Domain, using NetBIOS. You are still required to run a Pro or better sku to be able to join a domain.
