Ocean is by far the easiest biome in genesis.

I really like the arctic one, just needs fortitude. The only thing that sucks is lack of pearls (that I know of). Bog is just too full of kapros for my taste. I found a lil group of sarcos can take on most biomes though, funnily enough. They're perfect for the ocean too since you can stand on them. But I was having a laugh walking through the snow with a small train of sarcos last night 😂 terrain can be a hassle at times but they were pretty much unstoppable. That turn on a dime attack makes it super easy with just one at a time though.

@@AliAhmed-uw7ot Whilst this is true, ark however has a lot of game breaking bugs or ones that are unfair on players that they just cannot fix or don't wish to do so..dinos climbing invisible walls or lag-like (rubberbanding) teleporting around or even dinos clipping through the floor and dying/despawning upon many other bugs that just make the game unfun and really unfair at times. The game is also not optimized well making it massive, take forever to download (and longer to redownload), and is what causes a ton of it's bugs most likely. Most don't redownload it for the fact it can take days to do so and the bugs are so terrible people rage quit often..Ark has issues, and it's ok to point out said issues! Every game has bugs but if your game has bugs that makes playing it impossible or way too unfair and hard that's a problem and the players have a right to be frustrated over it. Pointing out bugs is not evil or anything, just because bugs are common in gaming doesn't mean players can't point out ones they hate and ask for it to be fixed.

There is no reason why the loot on genesis shouldn't be grindable. That's the most annoying thing about that map for me. I know there's a server setting to fix that, but it still triggers me when I see the no grinding symbol on some ramshackle consolation prize from a mission/loot crate

It would just be to powerful in the snow doing mound over matter and the kangaroo escorting one you would get so much good stuff from doing barely anything and then being able to grind that stuff would be a huge loop hole to getting resources easy.

Then Wildcard can change what level, amount, and type of loot you get based on the mission. That's a job for the balance team, same as loot drops in caves. Grinders are expensive, high level items for this reason. Don't punish people for doing missions by giving randomized items, most of which won't be great for you to use, and not allow someone to grind them.

@@francisweller839 I much rather get a ton of random loot tbh. If I don't need it I throw it away. Grinders aren't really hard to get after you get yourself established just a little grindy process to make it. Would it be cool to grind the stuff? Fuck yeah I would never have to use a mining tool again. But it's just unbalanced. After you learn how to do certain hard missions they even become simple so you could just milk those for a bit and get the stuff and grind it and not have to worry for a long long time even if they reduced its drops 50%.

Again, everything you're saying with it being "broken" is an issue of game balance and moderation. Loot drops usually only give you 1-3 things even at high levels because of this. But in the absence of loot drops, we HAVE to do missions. You even said that you throw a lot of it on the ground, so it's a complete waste. And yes, it's a survival game. The grind is part of it. But the game is also designed to reduce grind at a certain point: a doedicurus on wander negates the need to to harvest stone, mutations allow your armies to farm high level bosses for element, armor and soups let you survive longer in dangerous conditions, kibble speeds up taming, and so on. The grinder doesn't break the game, especially when you have to craft saddles, it just reduces grind. If YOU like having 20 items, only a third of which you will realistically use, good for you. I find it unnecessary and disheartening to work for a reward that is of zero value to me.
