I don't like it when people say the Deinonychus is unoriginal and is copied of the Rock Drake, when it is obvious that the Rock Drake is an element irradiated Deinonychus. Both Drakes and Deinonychus lay eggs as a means of taming, have feathers, jumping abilities, and climbing abilities. Not to mention the Deinonychus does a little glide thing when falling/jumping. Even Head Shape, which is similar to a raptor but is more square and stockier like a Drake. Now we need a Deinonychus Tek Saddle, making it the first small Land creature to get one.

@@dinocraft1204 Bruh. I just said that in the Ark lore it is highly probable that the Rock Drake is a mutated Deinonychus, not the other way around. The deinonychus, while not the first raptor discovered, was the first raptor species to have its skeleton completed. It is also accurate in size I Ark.

Supposedly each Ark has its own "Punishment". The punishments are meant to keep the survivors, seeds of humanity, from progressing into ascension, making it easier to weed out the failure survivors to restore humanity anew. Arks that are identical, such as two Scorched Earths, have the same punishments. Reapers were created by Rockwell and/or the previous overseer for Ab. Wyverns and Mantis are the punishment by the overseer in Scorched. Extinction/Earth technically has both, but being Earth, where survivors aren't supposed to be because of the punishments, Earth doesn't require one. So that leaves The Island. What is the punishment on the island? Would it be Gigas, to prevent them from traveling to the mountains? Is it the Troodons, to limit the survivors abilities to the Day? I think it is the Rex, plain and simple, yet iconic. The rex can be found on the mountains including the volcano, and I have seen them spawn near all obelisk, including the Red one so far south, it is the most logical choice. Now, I am bored and I want to share what I know about Ark's general, not character, lore and hopefully people will correct me: This brings us to the respawning player. We learn that Helena is the one respawning, and presumably the one who creates the character in the customization screen, the player character. She spawns us on the island to complete every ascension and become a fellow Homo Deus after Extinction. If Helena has this power as a Homo Deus to respawn us, then why does she not throw us into the more logical solution of a better fitting Ark after Scorched instead of Ab? Because Aberration needs to be destroyed to not ruin the Earth again. Each Ark is named after Noah's Ark because it is carrying seeds of life to bring back to the desolate Earth. Each Ark has an Overseer, an AI who controls the Ark to keep it running smoothly, and genetically modify and create Creatures, most of which are Extinct, including Humans. The Ark can somehow give a new survivor the memories of someone from any point in time. Helena is from 2016, and the others are from times I don't care to research. On Earth, before the Arks were sent into orbit, there were the Element/Tek wars which caused the world to be infected with Element (which needs a better name than just "Element"). The arks were launched into space and when the Earth is cleansed of the Elemental Corruption the Arks automatically return and Earth, protected by the next step in Human Evolutions (The Survivor and Helena), the Homo Deus, and it turns back to normal.

4:50 I dont know if they ever fixed it, but i remember you start burning even at night when you spawn here. I had a private server with friends and got logged out and it killed me during the login. Same happened in singleplayer when i tested that. Reply if they fixed this would be nice

This video is making me realize just how little I've done on aberration, I've only been to the surface once and it went *badly,* I've never tamed a reaper or a rock drake, and I've only ever been to the radiation zone once on accident, back when this map first dropped I was still just a little bob terrified of everything, and it didn't help that there were so many ways everything can go wrong in pretty much every zone, it's also just a pain in the ass to get in and out of on singleplayer. I should really use this event as an opportunity to fully explore this map
