Hello Lee. I am now to all of this, and in recent days had my share unfortunate events while trying to learn how to operate the router I just got. (w1325 with linear magazine 6 tools and Syntec 6A). Want to say thank you for the great video, i really did learn a lot from it. After watching it and some other ones, I am kind of confused, you note that reference tool is a must, while other do not use it. Can you please shed some light on this subject? Also not to be rude or anything of this nature, I am having a bit of a problem with Z axis not going up during the tool change procedure. It does not happen at the part and does not happen at the tool holders, so longer tools are way below the machines table. Is that something in the controller or is it me? I have posted some help questions at CNC router forums but no reply's for that. May be you can help? Thank you in advance.

Hello please can you explain to me on syntec MB6 how to correct the coordinates of the x or y or z axis a liver that the job is running for example if I run a job and I see which one needs to correct z axis because it do not cut at the bottom of the material I stop the machine I add 1mm and I continue the work without starting again from the beginning or it is impossible on syntec MB6

Hi Lee I tried to follow your method to set the Auto tool in my Syntec 6MA, but unfortunately after choosing my reference tool with MDI light turned on, when i press F2 the spindle doesn't move toward the tool sensor, but it loose the tool, I tried to press F5 instead of F2 the spindle has moved to the opposite direction of the tool sensor location. ?!! One more thing please, when i enter the parameter number 3411 it leads me to "Extension parameter (R91)" is it the same as Auto Tool to table distance ? Thank you in advance

Trying to figure this out on our machine but that parameter (3411) does not exist on our controller. I beleive we do have a newer version that has the Delta Z setting under Tool Offset/Setting > Tool Tip Measure but it doesn't seem to work. :\ The CNC supplier is no help. We're forced to measure each tool every time we change material thickness and/or fly cut the spoiler board. Not fun when you're using multiple tools.

This system is so unnecessary complicated that i had to switch back to mach3. Same results with much less effort. Best solutions are almost always simple ones.
