I have a similar situation in my current space board (24 pedals) A Pladask Matrise that splits to a CT5, Particle 2, and Arcades, before going off to my Julia and Tacana for a master vibrato/chorus/tremolo, then off to my stereo delays and reverbs.

You just leveled up and I don't know I can keep your pace. However you are an artist not a pedal reviewer and if the previous format was limiting you then you are doing the right thing.

I'm going to be looking forward to this every month! It's just more knobs all at once, and I like whatever you do. Each one of these things was delightful, especially the rysy filter and the matrix looper board which I feel like we wouldn't have seen in the normal knobs format. Hope your squirrels find a better place far away.

Hey Scott. Hope we can meet up at Festival Sonore next April. One of the things I've been kicking around for a while (and still have to build) is a "talked-to" pedal. This is different than a vocoder in that the purpose is not to emulate voice, but rather to use voice as a band-selective CV generator for controlling other things. *Some* classic vocoders could do that, outputting the CV controlling the VCA for each of the 10, 12, or whatever bands, but they are way out of everyone's price league and rare as hens' teeth. Moreover, there is a limit to how much one mouth could modulate on the fly. So, a simpler version. Let's say we had three tunable moderately-wide passbands to detect, plus a full-spectrum channel as well, all driven by a mic and associated preamp. The tunability is simply to adapt the device to the particular speaker's voice. That could provide 4 discrete control voltages, sensing each of the 3 bands, and one for full-spectrum amplitude. Those 4 CVs could be used to control anything that could be voltage controlled. That *could* be filters, but could also be other parameters, like modulation rate, delay, pulse-width, whatever. The idea is to free up hands and feet to accomplish other tasks and forms of real-time control.

I'd love to see the Matrix Looping board used for, like, an ambient album. Just feed it a pretty loop in stereo, let it shift and morph for a while, add a fade at both ends so it feels continuous, maybe add some synth layers to fill out the space, you could make some beautiful tracks.

Yay! Lovely. I’ve been using the digitakt to try and achieve both of these loopy poopy techniques. The limitation being that you can only have 30sec loops and only have 8 of them, but with the lfos and green trigs for movements it’s also capable of textural heaps. :) bye thanks luv u x
