Funny, I was so mesmerized by her bass drum sound that I asked under one of her videos and she was super nice in explaining some details. I love this community!

Haaa! I love that hand she waved around 46:00 when the kick comes in. You know she does that whether she’s being filmed, in a club, or totally alone. As any electronic musician would do when they make a sick transition.

Thank you very much Ziv for having Julia as a guest on your channel and for giving her the opportunity to talk about her live and studio set up, her creative workflow and tips for performing live. It was great to see Julia so passionate about using modular synthesizers and make the best out of the Endorphines modules. It convinced me to explore further the modules that she is using and maybe purchase some of them to compliment my setup. Keep up the great work!

Great breakdown and music. I sold my eurorack rig because of how I couldn't wrap my head around gigging with it, and this video makes me regret that decision while simultaneously confirming that it was the right call.

Look at all those freaking cables.. I thought my minibrute2s was complex with 8 cables punched.. this is someone who has seriously studied and mastered sound design. There’s not too many chicks that I know that are masters of modular.. from one female to another.. my hats.. no.. I’m bowing.
@hermask8153 жыл бұрын
But how many of these cables are actually performing a purpose? I have only fooled around with modular synths in software. When I was finished, I pulled some of the virtual cables and the sound didn’t change.the ones that changed I put back, obviously. If cables are used to change the flow of sequences…. I’m mentally too lazy for that.Then I’d rather use anything with a piano roll or something along the lines of a keystep.

I have to admit, as soon as I see a euro rack setup I start feeling nauseous and dizzy, I just feel it in the gut and from there on all I can hear is myself saying that’s impossible, hopefully once I complete reading “How to program any synth” I’ll fell less intimidated and ultimately less nauseous. I still don’t know, once all the connections are made, can the case be closed, I think this is where a great deal of my OMG 😱 comes from. Love her work. Thanks.

Great series Loopop, would love to see more. It would be fantastic if you could hit up Tristan Shone(Author and Punisher) and get him to go in-depth on his setup. There are several vids out there on his custom-made industrial controllers but very little info on the gear he uses to actually make noise, apart from him using a lot of Elektron gear and Ableton. He is by far the most interesting electronic musician out there right now in my opinion.
