Thanks for creating Enzo, especially the arpeggiator mode, suits me so well playing a solo instrument like violin. My only wish is if you could design the knobs as inner and outer cores like on some Boss pedals, instead of using the alt button. It would really help if we could see all the settings on the unit at one glimpse.
@kdakan3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot, this is yet in 2021 the only review of the Enzo on violin. After getting this pedal one thing I found is, you can mix playin arpeggiated chords and solo melody lines in between, and Enzo will grab your latest few notes and create background arpeggios on the fly, and keep doing it till you stop playing (or for an adjustable time). I find this style of playing is most fun, Enzo becomes your band member playing the arpeggiated chords for you in the background and on the fly, without sticking to a specific scale or chord progression. I also watched your review on the Meris Hedra, liked it, but there you have to choose the scale first, which is limiting compared to the Enzo arpeggitor mode.
@femtohimself71 Жыл бұрын
give us the knob layout. arp mode obviously and what parameters do you use? example: pitch 12 o clock, mix 3 oclock, modulation 4 o clock etc. as if you were writing your own patch

This makes me so happy! I'm so glad the Enzo tracks your violin so well, and you did such a great exploration of the Enzo. Your NS violin is so flexible, but not too surprising considering Ned Steinberger is one of the most thoughtful instrument designers ever.

This is a first for me. Making cool synth instrumentals and it's not a sausage fest. I'm not saying women don't make music but it's always been for the sake of their singing. Cool all the way! And thanks for the tunes I can use in my KZbin videos.

Wow you are doing amazing things. I love your tracks - the groove and the cool sounds you make. I especially like the subtle way you play the violin, so full of feeling, the contrast between real instrument and electronic sounds is stunning. The melodies, beats and chord progressions are so laid back and perfect, they make me want to cry sometimes. I'm not kidding. I've used one of your tracks on two videos of mine so far and I'm just about to use Mizuki and Shibuya in a Japan-themed video about Beatles locations in Liverpool. Shibuya sounds a little like Eleanor Rigby so it fits perfectly. I also love Shiki no Uta and I'd like to use that in a video, perhaps about modern architecture in London. I hope you'll watch them and see how I've used your music. In fact, your music influenced the concept of the Beatles presentation. I think you're going to go far and thanks for what you do.

How do you save your setting/ patches without an additional midi controller or computer? It’s a great synth, but the memory is limited and Lacking ! Forgot to tell the whole truth . I really like this device, and I've never heard of Meris before. I like it also because you don't have to tape on another pickup or midi kind of transducer to my guitar and just plug in. I've never played violin before. I would have to use the bow with my left hand and fingerboard with my right hand. I guess I'd have to go through that task of switching (reversing) the strings around just like I've had to do with the guitar too, huh?

Is it reflecting the dynamics you're playing, or am I imagining that?
@littlesnowflakepunk8555 жыл бұрын
Yeah it is. The thing about this synth is that it isn't really using midi data or tracking the note, it's taking the direct input of your instrument and processing it to make it sound synth-y. It's still pretty cool as an effects pedal
@AaronLevitz5 жыл бұрын
@@littlesnowflakepunk855 I agree it's not MIDI, but our Meris' own wording says it's a group of oscillators driven by pitch tracking: "A multi-voice synthesizer that will track your guitar for tight monosynth leads, complex chord polyphony, or multi-note sequenced arpeggiation."
