(I grade this: C#) Dear Chris, I listened completely to your first piece here. Your rhythm section is good, but I would change it up a bit. However, there is nothing captivating for me in the melody. Have you tried just listing to that track alone? All your melodic phrases end downwards and there is neither suspense or emotive content, (at least for me). I would focus on the melody before the rhythms, and try to make a story with the notes. Daniel
