Did you plant a cold hardy Macadamia variety? Coastal southwestern Portugal has a similar climate and should also work for Macadamia then.

Great video Scott. How often would you prune the support species once they get established? Small resets throughout the year, or hard resets about twice a year during autumn and spring?

To prune the support species (hard prune) means waiting until the successional group has fully consolidated
