Of course, when the studio recording comes, every guitarist has no right to make mistakes... Tracks being re-recorded couple o times and auto-tune helps to balance the track, make it cleaner, but for sure 90% of works made by guitarist
@jonathanbishop62054 жыл бұрын
@Michael Bizaare a7x doesnt use tuning on guitars because with all the distortion it muddies up the mix. Ntm it's not really need since syn is really the only one who records guitar parts and he uses original floyd rose bridges so the guitar doesnt slip out of tune while recording.

Those wicked fast three string arpeggios at around 6 minutes are so unique. He literally makes it sound like he’s shredding the shit out of them. After slowing down the playback speed, I think he’s quickly doubling the top note on the second pass so he can pick all the way through. Brian, you’re a legend.

The verse riff is so unique to the player. It’s not the riff itself but the sheer sound and tone he makes with it that just freaking lavishes your eardrums. This is one of my favorite riffs from A7X.

In the early 2000s Synyster gates didn’t really know what he was doing with his solos and technique especially on waking the fallen and city of evil (though I will say some of the solos on city of evil we’re pretty good) he was drinking a lot and didn’t even cared in the slightest, but as time goes on we see him slowly improve his technique, refine his solos with a bit of mojo to it and started to act more mature until to this day he’s now ranked 9th of the top 10 best metal guitarists of all time as his solos and proper technique are such an eargasm to hear, cheers to you Syn! 🥂

someone can explain me what effect setting syn used in this solo, i mean how much mid low gain and treble or anything .. and one thing is it with delay?
@jonathanbishop62054 жыл бұрын
Syn always loves having a lot of kids in his tone, but I notice in this song there is a surprising and extreme amount of bass in the tone so basically if you boost mid and bass and cut back a little of treble you should be pretty close. Make sure to get plenty of that crunchy gain. I would also suggest playing in the neck pickup. Syn does that a lot with his leads, makes the song more full.

@antoniovelasco26376 жыл бұрын
The sustainiac pickup is for helping the note not to fade out, but you can use it for harmonics too, i don't know what effect you are talking about but, it sounds like he is bending the note and catching the string above the one he is bending and making it sound with the vibrato, you can try that, that makes both notes sorta melt together
@LeMeJoly6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, can try that. I don't really see him using his whammy bar at that part when playing live
