Samy_Jonas I think it was luck how Logan didn't get infected after his missions in Ukraine and Kazakhstan, since SF could only be transmitted via waterborne and body fluid. Imagine if Lian, Phagan or any test subjects sneezed/spitted near Logan, LOL.

Yeah this part of the game took forever especially level 14 Catacombs lol definitely needed a Strategy guide to complete it but playing the game now it's not so bad cause you basically remember everything and where to go (at least I do) the music was so cool though loved it this game was great.

used to watch the bleak sunset before going underground and when i get there, i start feeling remorse for the human guinea pigs in the labs. I remember feeling like I had been contaminated after playing this level. A truly masterful soundtrack for a masterpiece of a game which was way ahead of it's time. The scary thing was and still is, that it's all a very plausible scenario.

Somebody should do an interview with a member of the creative team on what the meetings were like designing the stronghold. It’s appropriately difficult and well designed, but holy shit did it creep me out every time I had to play through it! I realize that was the intention, but I’ve never been as unsettled playing a video game as I was playing this location at age 12. The music is what puts the creepiness over the top though. The guards needlessly dressed as monks in one of the biggest cathedrals in all of fiction are a great touch too. I don’t enjoy the level due to the feelings it generates, but its unique ability to have such a horror feel inside an action/stealth game in 1999 is a tremendous accomplishment.

One thing the soundtrack does is this game so masterfully well, is it really captures the feel of all the levels. How Washington park has an aquatic sound to it and it goes with the rain, this with the low piano notes and choir vocals in the background gives it a creepy atmosphere. You can probably argue that alot of the tempos and beat ticks are mostly the same just switched around but it still sounds soooooo good lol especially when your in danger and the music just picks up increasing the intensity lol. This game is definitely an underrated masterpiece, and I will never forget it ❤️

I remember I missed a doctor that was at the beginning so I had to back track all the way to the missing scientist only to get a Checkpoint after completing the objective and having to go ALL the way back to the end of the level without dying or risk getting sent ALL the way back to the Checkpoint at the beginning of the level

I remember doing that once or twice near the beginning and after that I always went through all the rooms connected to the big room and after doing that, went back to that one lab room and that one scientist always had appeared in there standing in some corner. At later point I tried to find out where he comes running from but I still have no clue where he spawns.

Thanks for these videos. This theme really added to the tension while playing this level. The briefing notes for the mission also said Rhoemer's stronghold is an abandoned cathedral and it is in Uzhhorod, a city in Ukraine. Sobering fact when you take into account what is going on there now with the war.
