5:40 There are several narration which state that Hazrat Esa pbuh will descent into Jerusalem. The one you are referring to doesn't say "The city of Damascus". It says "East of Damascus", which is the name of a gate of Jerusalem. There are matching hadees in Kitab ul Fitan which clarify that it is East of the door of Damascus. But since you all don't research and just follow, you will never promote the other narrations which clearly say that it is Jerusalem. Second confirmation comes from the fact that after praying Fajr behind the Muslim leader (AKA the Mehdi), Hazrat Esa pbuh will say open the gate, behind which will be the Dajjal, who will try to escape and get caught at Ludd, which is in Jerusalem. Damascus is 300 KM from Jerusalem, so you can't open a gate in Damascus the city and enter Jerusalem.

We are living in American world order, which doesn't allow expansionism, or merging of the boundaries of different countries especially Muslim countries, but can tolerate a Muslim majority country. If you say you want to establish Khilafa, a Muslim superstate which dissolves the concept of boundaries among countries, you are inviting America and its allies to come bomb your country. Either you defeat them or you outwit them and as per ahadees of the Prophet pbuh, no one can destroy Dajjal and by extension his system except Hazrat Esa pbuh.
