Powerful countries and groups did the one thing everybody wants them to do by leaving ASAP, but nobody took into consideration the warring tribes who lost a common enemy then literally fighting for power (just like in Afghanistan after the USSR was defeated). We don’t know yet. These rebels have changed their ideologies a few times, or so they say. I doubt they will get along with Israel considering Israel is already bombing Syria (granted, to destroy huge weapons storage areas to make sure that other terrorist factions in the area like ISiS don’t try and get themselves some ammo to overthrow the new Syrian government..or so they claim). And most Arab countries don’t acknowledge Israel as a legitimate state, but perhaps if things thaw it could be like Saudi and Israel-where they have disagreements but trade and try to be peaceful with each other. The U.S. has said they will support the new Syrian government as long as they protect rights of minorities and don’t engage in terrorism. The current rebel government claims to be against Al qaeda now, but in the past had ties to them. So it depends on if they’ve really “changed” their alliance allegiance or not.

@@nuqwestr In the 2006 war and the 2024 war between Hezbollah and Israel, Israel's military capabilities increased exponentially with the help of the United States. Israel's superior military capabilities weakened Hezbollah, Iran, and, together with the Russia-Ukraine war, contributed to the collapse of Bashar Al-Assad's brutal dictatorship in just 11 days. Israel's victory over Hamas and Hezbollah confirms that fanatical, extremist regimes cannot survive in the age of rapidly developing information technology and AI. Communism is a fanatical, extremist, brutal, and evil regime many times more than terrorism because it relies on unrealistic reasoning and survives by parasitizing generations.
