Nope, you can defeat Erlang in the 1st playthrough and get the true ending, therefore getting Unified Minds. You don't need to beat Wukong first to get to Erlang.

Just so y’all know, the Gore-Eye Daoist actually gives 34-35% attack and not a constant flat attack value. You can test this using the starter basic staff and a mythical staff. Cheers

@@lemonsqueezy6120 it has a good coverage, and you necessarily don't need to be right next to it. I'll advise you do some test and get and estimate of the range. How to test? Switch to the default armor and weapon to be sure you're not getting any bonuses from set pieces. You'll notice your staff glow red when you're within range and it stops glowing when you're out of range. Hope it helps

Gonna try this in ng+. Im happy to say that hard defeated Erlang. Took me like a hour today. I think using the Legendary Fan and Cloud Step in specific situation make this fight doable. And also having all your enhance pills and the supreme gourd helps. It is a great fight honestly and people should only use this kind of trick when they have tried until boredom or speed running. Thanks for this build bro.

How do you have that many medicines with rare materials to make? Monkey head fungus is super rare and it's best to just harvest it from the zodiac village, but it only generates one like every 30 minutes or an hour. It would take a ridiculously long time to make hundreds of enhanced medicines.

looks like cheats to me. you can only carry 1 at a time as well into battle and refresh at shrine.

@@robertcanning3000 I think you're right with the cheats but I don't know what you mean by they refresh at the shrine. Once you use a medicine, that's it, it's gone and you have to craft another one unless you've got more on you. Only your gourd, health, mana, stamina, qi, and that other slot for your fan or needle reset. Every other consumable doesn't reset.

if you one of those focus pill with another staff. do you still get 4 charges? but the 4th goes away after a little bit? or do you only get 3? if you get 4 i would say you could do way more dmg by having another staff. the 4th charge does stay for like a solid 5-10 sec before depleting normally. that should be plenty of time if you use the pill just before attacking

Cheats. One rare ingredient takes 30 minutes to restock so it would take too long to make stream content. Cheats also allow him to carry more than one of the super pills. In a normal game the super pills always say 1/1, not 550/1.

There is a medicine pill that instantly resets all spell cool downs so he uses pluck of many pill pluck of many . This can only be done once as you can only carry one of the pill at a time

Awesome video, could you make a video of the Pilgrim armor, it makes you start fight with double damage, it also gives you focus energy every second while sprinting, you get this from the first boss in chapter 1 when you fight the werewolf, if you continue to upgrade the armor to mystical quality, it looks much cooler, it's also gonna provide much better unique effects, not only does it increase sprint speed, but every second you sprint, it's going to give you a 10% attack increase stacking up to 10x, so you double your damage, so when used with spell binder this is broken, so what other things would you add to this armor to make it better

The pilgrim set only work if you sprinting so the monkes wont get the buff These boss on ng+ is super beefy so he changes it to yaksha in order to buff the 12 monkes Hope i explain it well

When you beat the game getting the true ending, you get the sixth relic which is called Freed mind and it’s the middle park unified minds it makes your clones follow certain heavy moves like the fourth charge oh and you won’t get the sixth relic if you’re still in the regular game, you get the true ending then go to new game plus and you will get the sixth relic

How did Erlang almost got defeated with around 13,000 damage. I’ve seen other bosses loose only around half of their health at around 15,000 damage. Or 13,000 damage was just from destined one and the clones had their damage as well?
