The beginning really hit hard over here. Almost my entire family was murdered in the Armenian Genocide. The only survivor was my great-grandparent's brother, who was just a kid, and was able to escape to Lebanon where my great-grandparent was. Then after a few years, they moved to Brazil to start a new life. Besides loving System's music, they also help me to connect with this sad part of my history which should never be forgotten.

Daron doesn't get nearly enough credit for being the main songwriter of the band. Truly is the heart and brain of the band pumping blood to all the organs. Serj is the soul and muscles of the band. The bassist and drummer are the spine and skeleton.
