Hardly. It sounds off cuz Daron is tuned down lower than the original track so Serj, being the master class he always is, has to sing in a different register throughout the whole song and so it sounds a bit off. The initial recording has all the instruments tuned together so the song works in the way it does, and so when they play it in a different key it won’t sound the same. Some songs are more flexible but this particular song really only works in drop C. IMO anyway
