I think his singing fits his solo career but not at all to soad. And I only wouldn't mind him not doing screaming when he actually sings right. Because not singing correct and then also not doing special vocals of a song is just boring. Jesse Leach from Killswitch Engage took his big break from Killswitch because he needed to find himself, he learned how to sing correctly and use techniques for screaming and growling and look how great he is doing today without problems. Back in the day he could only perform for 2 nights and the rest of the nights he couldn't get a tone out because he fucked up his voice all the time, now he can do everything very easily because he does it correctly now. If Serj cares he could do exactly the same.

I'm still relatively really young but I LOVE System Of A Down, my dad listened to them when I was growing up and I ended up liking their music a bit in my earlier years and I love them now.
