one thing I should add is; that systematic review is a broad subject while meta-analysis is a narrow one. systematic review like a football ground, while meta-analysis like a football inside the ground.

This Dr is amazing, just put my month and week more worry to analysis Meta-analysis which is a really fragmented study. Look Dr I combined my systematic review with an amazing arrangement or combination. My review from the publication lies my data and recommends me to do the meta-analysis, I am tried to combine but impossible. example the effect of different biochar inclusion levels in different animals, sheep, fish, -------big cow, from 1 gram to 500 kg weight and effect. not managable.

You explain good but few minute details you need to mention , for example why systemic review can't be alway meta analysis ( because systemic review draws 2 result - homogeneous and heterogeneous ) ,if result of homogeneous it meta analysis... So like this I felt in many areas you need to explain the exact details ,for learning students

Also please tell, when we submit a protocol, can we know that its going to be systematic review or meta also? As the results are not yet ready in protocol, so we cannot conclude whether it will be systematic review only or we can go for MA as well...am i understanding correct?

It is a very good question. In Protocol, if you mentioned that it will be a systematic review, but it later becomes a Meta Analysis, now you will go back to PROSPERO website and update the protocol explaining how and why it became a Meta Analysis. PROSPERO will allow you to update.

Thanks for the info. Kindly solve my 1 query, you said that if the results of systematic review are homogenous, better to go for metaanalysis.Right? How do we know that the results are homogenous? Is there any objective way to say whether the results are homo or heterogenous? So this means its only after the results of systematic review we can decide that it can be made into MA or not? Right? Please guide

No no, lets say you have ten papers included. You will see those ten papers and match them with each other and see if population, intervention, and outcome and methodology are similar to one another. If yes, and only slight differences are found, you proceed with Meta Analysis. Make sure you check heterogeneity first using i2 statistics or cochrane Q Test.
