Hi Chet, thanks for the kind words. Systeme uses Sendgrid as it's SMTP but that's all completley in the background meaning you don't have a sengrid account or actually use the service itself to send emails with Systeme. I've never used sendgrid so I don't know how to add a sub domain to it. With namecheap its easy try this www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/9776/2237/how-to-create-a-subdomain-for-my-domain/

hello I kinda setup the Email authentication before I did with the domain, everything was good with the email and verified but I later came to authenticate the domain and it has stayed "pending validation for 6 hours now what could be the problem? and I did the dns checker on the domain and it works fine

Thanks Jimi! You absolutely do NOT want to be sending emails from a personal email account like jimi@gmail. com for example - as they will all end up in the spam box. You need to purchase a professional email address which you would usually do at the same place you bought your domain or you can use gsuite by gmail if you like using gmail. Let's say your domain is jimidixon. com, then you would want to purchase a professional email to go along with it that says jimi@jimidixon. com or something along those lines.

Hi, you want to use the domain with Systeme right? So you've moved it from Wordpress. If you don't want to use the domain with Systeme and move back to Wordpress then re-add your Wordpress Cnames.

Correct, you will need to use a professional email address. Email platforms do not like to use Gmail or Yahoo etc as all your emails will be sent to spam. just get a business email from whatever your domain is from

Sounds like the email address you are trying to use hasn't been setup? For example if you are using Gmail you will need to add MX records to the DNS or if using something like Namecheap there is an option to select it

No need to use Cloudflare with Systeme as there's SSL included. You would add CNAME in Advanced DNS once you've reverted

If you haven't already added a custom domain to Systeme then you can add your namecheap domain and stay on the freemium plan. Don't be afraid of upgrading though it's a great deal!

Thanks, Steve. Question: how long does it take for domain authentication to verify? I have connected a domain successfully on a FREE plan, and it's ready to use. However, the authentication (verify) is still PENDING. And it's over 48 hours. What might be the problem?

If your domain is listed as Ready to use in Systeme, then I assume you are talking about the email domain verification? 48 hours is too long so I don't think that's connected correctly. Check your DNS records wherever you bought your domain name from and make sure you have copy/pasted the CNAME's that Systeme has provided using your providers conventions (they usually don't want the whole thing). If you used Namecheap then you can follow exactly what I do in the video - sometimes it's just a case of a missing full stop or you having copy pasted the whole thing instead of what your provider wants.

Instead it just has a link to the Change the DNS and from there it has a section for Name Servers > Custom DNS but nothing about entering CNAME or Host. The other options are Redirect Domain, which doesnt work

It's most likely the other CNAMES stopping it. You can only point your domain to one place. Screenshot/copy paste them before deleting them so that if you want to go back to your old hosting you can
