I think this is the meaning: It's about autistic masking. There are certain elements that wouldn't have been chosen if that wasn't the intended meaning - for example, the titular "bitter chocolate". One of the reasons us autistics are "picky eaters" is that our senses are often a little... Off, compared to neurotypical ones, in the sense that they feel amplified and can't be ignored nearly as easily. Taste, in particular, is often extremely sensitive, and is one of the most frequent senses to turn physically painful. Yes, it is absolutely vital to train your ability to push that comfort zone, or you won't be able to get the dietary nutrition you need to keep your brain healthy; however, that absolutely DOES NOT mean forcing yourself to eat things that will cause you pain with no worthwhile reward for your effort. Especially when others around you aren't holding themselves to the same arbitrary rule that has been forced on you. Dark chocolate is better for you than milk chocolate, but not by enough to warrant that kind of suffering. Unfortunately, if kids are identified as "picky eaters"... You know what lengths people will go to in order to make them pliable. And that's just the title. Think it through next time you listen to the lyrics. It's... Pretty obvious, once you know what you're looking at.
