From another perspective, I interpreted the lyrics of this OST as Prince Seong Nam towards his elder brother, the Crown Prince, who was the person he loved most in his world. Seong Nam had always been waiting for the moments to be with his elder brother. Although he was abandoned by the elderly and adults from the palace and experienced trauma from his family of origin, he was still willing to go back to this traumatic place, only for his beloved brother, only becoz of his love towards him. And now he had passed away. This had become another trauma for Prince Seong Nam. This OST perfectly expressed his grief.

From Seongnam's perspective, even now from his inner child's perspective which he may have suppressed, he still felt being abandoned and up to Ep 8, he still hadnt known about the reason behind his mother's powerlessness behind her 'abandonment' of him. From the Queen's perspective, it was not abandonment, but a way to protect her son from danger (I guess the great Queen grandmother wanted to kill Seongnam since he was younger. There must be sth happened which triggered grandma's intention of disliking Seongnam and unanswered, which may be related to Seongnam's curiosity to things and his personality/character. Maybe Seongnam saw something he shouldn't have seen, but was still suppressed into his unconscious at the moment up to ep 8). So let's see XD Moon Sang Min is so charismatic btw xD

I loved how this drama portrayed different sides of mothers. It showed love and care of mothers can protect her child from every evil, but also showed how greed and selfishness of mother can ruin everything of child. Queen Im hwa ryeong was a prime example of how a mother should be, and Queen Dowager was a example of how a mother should not be.This drama was perfect historical drama, which shows mothers love in best way possible!
