I just used this today after watching just about every review on it lol. It seems as though there is a risk of it clogging something if you don't flush the system first, but even then, it's maybe 5% of people that have an issue, so I decided to risk it. I only had some small seepage, and I used a bit less than half a bottle and drove for 40 minutes instead of the 10-20 that it recommends. The leaking appears to have stopped, still getting plenty of heat so I assume nothing is gummed up. It really does seem to work!

this is actually liquid aluminum and when it is heated it dissolves completely and then when it gets to the leak it will actually adhere to it, and after some time it will just keep accumulating and seal a small leak. well worth the money. otherwise you would need to replace the radiator or the heater core and some of these parts are quite costly and difficult to replace.

Your first problem right there is the DEX coolant. Ten years after General Motors began using Dex-Cool as an antifreeze in most of its cars and light trucks, GM car and truck owners continue to complain that the coolant corrodes and clogs radiators and radiator caps, erodes water pumps, rots radiator hoses, causes chronic overheating and engine damage while leading to leaky engine gaskets. The stuff is junk . Get it out of there and replace it with the green. Second, I can guarantee you that when you drive it, at high rpm's the mass amount of pressure built up from the water pump and the heat will blow that heater core wide open. Been there my friend. Just trying to help a brother out. :)

The things with these stop leaks is this, including transmissions, engines, radiators etc,if you are like 90% of the population that has zero attachments to their vehicles and they will be disposed of in a few years for something better/newer than by all means use all this stuff, but if you are going to keep your car cause you like it or are attached to it then dont use this stuff, get the problem fixed properly. I have taken engines apart where they used stop leak, oh my god,it wasn't a pretty sight, that stuff over time clogs coolant ports and just creates a mess inside the engine plus its a bandaid but again, you wont have the car that long, use the products as needed.

@@syxxes , there's a chance you have a failing head gasket that has a pinhole leak into the cooling lines. When you open the radiator cap, are you seeing a steady stream of bubbles coming up? I used a similar product (bar's leaks liquid aluminum). It sealed the leak in the core (no heat in the winter sucks!). The fix has been holding up for about a month now, although the heater seems to be weaker than usual lately. Gonna backflush the core because it's probably clogged. Also, the thermostat is hesitant to open up while the vehicle is warming up at idle, although blipping the throttle gets that taken care of. It's unfortunate that such a cheap part is so expensive to replace due to the amount of labor involved in getting at it.

I had coolant this sealant in my car when I changed the coolant I was amazed to see metal in the coolant but it was this sealant but now the car has a tiny coolant leak but the sealed cracked plastic parts still leak out fluid very tiny amount hardly noticeable it’s a great product but horrible If your just tryna fix up a new car you bought. I’m just thankful that when I do come across a coolant problem again after these plastic pieces of garbage fault again I’ll have an escape from a bad day

Just destroyed that coolant system and probably your engine. Dex cool dont mix well with anything! Flush totally ASAP! I'm not ripping on dex cool, I love it, it just dont mix with other antifreeze or stop leak. It will turn into thick sludge fast.

Now imagine what the inside of your engine and main radiator looks like. I dunno if its worth it. Ive been devating on unplugging the heater hoses and using this stuff on a pond pump and this and run it through for a few hours. And see if it fixes the issue.. then hook the hoses back up to the engine this way i keep this stuff outa my engine and just fix the heater core

Syxxes Performance sure is. Usually put cinnamon in the mining truck when they leak and the mechanics won't fix it. Then when they are going to fix it weeks later it ain't been leaking for weeks haha

TossLol That's awesome! I've heard Cinnamon, pepper and a raw egg. Never have tried any of them though
