Skynet should had programs them to actively seeks, collects, used and lock aways ballistics firearms like most of the guns. In theory, they would acts as backup units that doesn't need Energy weapons to deals with humans with less equipment (mostly guns) to fights the other earlier models and the T-400 model. You should do a Vid on the TS-300. It was an extremely advanced Terminator Series that was even more sophisticated than the 800 Series. The Model was featured in Dark Horse Comics The Terminator: Hunters and Killers. And just so we are all clear? I said TS-300 not T-300. TS stands for Terminator Stealth. meaning it was an , all together, different line up not to be confused with Skynet's standard Models.

who would win in a battle with 100 Imperial battle droids vs 100 T-400s? I think that even if battle droids are weaker in strength they're surely smarter and more accurate than T-400s, they also have blasters which gives them fire power superiority. Probably a few T-400s could get colse enogh to make a dent in the enemy line but they would be heavily outmatched anyway

if they both march at eachother without any other droid/terminator types to back them up, the t-400 is definatly superior in close quarter combat so when they reach eachother the t-400 would probably tip the scale

sure, but would the battle droids be dumb enough to march at the enemy? they're not bullet proof as much as the T-400 but while blasters would one-shot each terminator, bullets would need a bit more to kill a battle droid. considering that they're controlled by capital ships and are able to learn, instead of marching, if the terminators would get too close battle droids would simply move backwards. besides, battle droids are able to communicate with each other and they have ranks among the army. a well skilled ranked up droid (and there are many in the franchise) would get his army in tactical superiority. T-400 are also pretty slow while battle droids can run pretty well. being physically stronger won't be useful if they can't get close to the enemy

but the B1s are designed to overwhelm the enemy with their numbers, that is their primary fuction. One would also need to factor in if the droids have a tactical droid in command or if the T-400 are in direct link with skynet to lead the assault

So cheap to build lol I don’t really think Skynet would Be worried about how cheap they are because Skynet wouldn’t be using money More than likely the only Reasonable reason that Skynet would keep producing them would be because there was already a factory set up to produce them when you start manufacturing new anything A factory has to have a complete re-fit Why take one factory out of service When You already own everything You just start work building Another factory to Start production of your new line

Basically the T-500 is a Upgraded/New version from the 400 series, they were faster and more durable. Which it suits their roles as they were used for combat purposes on the Battlefield, The only different between from the T-400 n' T-500 series, is from their movements.. T-400s moved around by walking (slow). T-500s moved around by doing quick reflexes
