While the T-44 can still very easily wreck enemy tanks, it doesn't quite feel like it used to. Let's see if it's all in my head, or if it's really a thing.

I prefer the 100mm gun version. Even if the armor isn't as competitive at its BR the gun is much better and can hold its own in an uptier

I’ve bounced Tiger 2 shells with its armor so it’s pretty good. Probably my favorite Russian tank around 6.7 BR

Yeah I'm struggling with ussr mid tier I have to say, T44's, IS3, and recently got the T54. I want to like them but there is just way too many negatives, terrible depression/no stab/slow reload/slow turret rotation and pretty much anything can 1shot you from any direction.

IS-4M and above are great, but the IS-3 sucks. The 7.7 Russian lineup is very good with just four vehicles (IS-4M, T-54 (1947), BMP-1 and BTR-80A.

The big thing with the BR change to 6.7 was the fact that the T-44 lost any semblance of a lineup to run it with, definitely killed the vehicle in my eyes

SU-122-54 and Object 268 are great, Object 248 is okay-ish if you have it and for AA the M53 is good enough.

So common! By the time I grind out a good tank it gets up tiered to the point of insignificance! I hope WT knows that “balancing” killed WOT and brought me over here along with many WOT players. That game really got bad. They even messed with the tanks characteristics!!

Nothing has enough armor for HEAT at that BR. A 5.7 with about 300mm HEAT eats everything, including IS-6. It is absolut bonkers.

That gun sucks at 6.7 BR and this guy is trying to act like it's decent. You see this same gun on the earliest T34-85 variant at 5.3

Great tank until gaijin put it at 6.7 where it lack the pen and face more dangerous opponent such as KT2H, T26E5 which is heavy tank but have better armor and gun. while it is fast its still not enough to flank enemy heavy with its speed unlike some zoom car. It just kinda sad this tank literally help me grind event for BMD-4 my favorite but now it just below mediocre tank in its BR. T-44-100 is 7.0 last time when t-44 is 6.3 which is make sense.

The BR system is so broken. One of the reasons it's broken is full uptiers. And those full uptiers aren't balanced. Your team could have many at the lowest br spread while the enemy team could have the majority of their players at .7 of the spread. I've played many unbalanced matches like that, and it is painful. It is also pretty common for the 1.0 spread players to absolutely dominate. 6.7 really suffers but 6.3 suffers as well. Both get uptiered more than downtiered.

br365a is actually the best shell, main reason is itle 1 shot t29/t34/t30 if you shoot far right or left lfp

Once i found out how to kill those tanks i was excited that i didnt just need the IS-2 to have a chance

It has the armour to stop most shots unless it hits the cupola or turret cheeks (and sometimes the lower front plate), it's fast, can reach the top speed off road and the gun is good enough to deal with most enemy tanks from the front. In my experience it's a great tank.

Correction: the King tiger CANNOT pen ur ufp, nor lfp iirc. Only if ure right in front of it at 0° angle Even the jagdtiger struggles to pen it at ranges like 500+m, or even close ranges with angled hull

The reason why the T-44 is so ridiculous was because volumetric turned the turret into a black hole so you couldn't pen it anywhere without extreme luck. Now, because of power creep heat showing up at super low BRs now, it's still a serviceable vehicle, but not as great.
