Nice job! That negative Vout is for powering contrast pot one side and V0 is LCD contrast input.. When other LCD screen shows all pixels, while previous worked fine, You need to adjust contrast. For that blue LCD there are different contrast settings than for some other similar greenish LCD's.. 😉

cool info :) IIRC though the "all pixels" LCD was actually the one that was connected when the magic smoke happened, so I think it is just kaput. A good thing to try though!
