That part where it reveals that they’re the free ones, and the people gawking at them are the ones in the fence will forever be iconic
@EuroMIX24 жыл бұрын
I actually forgot that the beginning technically gives it away, but it's possible a lot of people don't consciously know or think about how fences like that work, and they do such a good job of implying that the girls are trapped behind the fence away from their family and friends with their world being "small", due to the wall not far behind preventing them from travelling too far away from the fence, but then they discover the end of the wall implying they only thought they were trapped when they cared about what everyone else thought. They get to go free while everyone else remains trapped.

Honestly, I love how this song is continuously rediscovered by today's youth. It's timeless imo. And this coming from an old-school raver that has watched how far edm has transitioned, for better or worse. Not saying this is edm by any means, I'm just using it as example of how that specific genre has evolved in the last 20 years. That scene is nothing like it used to be. I miss how it was late 90's to early 2000's. No huge music festivals. If you wanted to indulge, you had to be hyper vigilant and scoop up those flyers at each event to make plans for the next several, which were all usually 100's of miles apart just to catch 6-8 dj's. Damn, those were the days. Road trips to shady venues and hoping the local cops hadn't caught on to what was going on and set up check points to bust anyone not wearing a seat belt to see what else they could bust them for. For example the Flavor parties on the east coast. Those were the best. Amazing lineups and the flyers even had scratch-n-sniff stickers. Remember those?!

I remember I was only 12 when my best friend at the time kept forcing me to listen to this song. I remember being really confused by her actions towards the end of our middle school years when she'd call and talk to me for hours every day on the phone about nothing at all (til my parents got annoyed). But then suddenly ignoring me all day even when I asked what I did wrong. I remember the incident where she told me someone had broken into her locker and placed a bouquet of flowers with a love letter. I told her that's kinda scary you should change your lock lol. Then later she told me it was from our mutual friend who was a girl and asked me what to do about it. I remember being so shocked since I'd never have suspected it, and told her I would support them regardless as long as they are happy. She ignored me for days after. Nothing changed between them, then our mutual friend later got a boyfriend, I was very confused as to what happened but I didn't ask. This song really reminded me of those times. It's kinda nostalgic but also a bit sad.

I noticed that you and a lot of people in the comment section don't seem to keep up to date on the original band members, a few years ago they openly revealed that they hate gay males and think their gross. I always have thought gay men are hated more then gay women and the women in that band proved there are even lesbians who are aware of it and are okay with joining the straight homophobic community just to not feel left out.

Discussing all tatu rumors. *Yulia and Lena were forced into doing stuff* Yulia and Lena have discussed the rumors in an interview that I’ve watched a few weeks ago. They said “No, that is not true.” “We wouldn’t do it if we didn’t like it.” They also said if they didn’t want to do something, they would speak up. *Yulia is a raging homophobe* Yes and no. Yulia had mentioned she doesn’t want her son to be mlm but she’s also said something against mlm 6 years ago. This would considered internalized homophobia because she’s bi. She hasn’t mentioned it in 6 years but for now we can just assume she has internalized homophobia. But she is not a raging homophobe! She's actually apologized, but it's not my apology to accept. :) *Yulia and Lena disliked eachother* Нет! Yulia and Lena were very close friends and stated they couldn’t do anything without eachother. Some people believed they liked eachother as more than friends due to what they’ve said but no one knows the truth. Lena was asked in an interview if she liked Yulia more than friends and all she said was “private question” so yes, we can just say that they were close friends, but they didn’t dislike each other.

Juan I feel like their breakup was caused due to Lena wanting a solo career instead of wanting to continue t.A.T.u. I heard that Lena had said to Yulia she wanted to focus on her solo career and disband t.A.T.u which got Yulia angry and that caused her to say rude stuff about Lena. I also feel like they were slowly growing apart because they both wanted their own husbands instead of wanting to stay with each other. I can’t clearly remember why they exactly split up again but I think it was because of that.

So, I'm 17 years old, about to be a senior in highschool... I turned away from God and I've been struggling with depression, anxiety, and a toxic ex. I didn't want to continue anymore and I felt like no one cared about me. I was about to give up today and this song popped up on my recommended and I turned it on and I just felt the holy spirit enter my bedroom and my soul feels at peace. I'm coming back to Jesus. If you read this, thank you for reading my story, I hope this helps someone A🙏🙏❤️❤️❤❤
