We tell this to women but they don’t listen at all. Every women I have been with has been completely self centered to the point I thought it was normal until I found the right one. I didn’t even realize it was selfishness until someone showed me. It became the norm to lose myself to the woman instead of being in a partnership. Partnership to women became only about me bringing home the bacon and that was it. It was never a relationship. It seemed that women were incapable of love. It’s sad to see this happen in marriages but we men don’t know any better until we find one that can say hey I’m sorry or listen to what we have to say.

I think mindset of western society women at this point has gotten to where they'd basically like to see All of us men, no matter how kind and ethical, destroyed, helpless, vulnerable, and disabled so that we can feel the fear they had to go through for centuries. I'm one of the nicest guys I know (despite not being talented, innovative, or even a "leader" admittedly) and in my 35 years of living I have yet to find any lady who is legitimate and genuine for sharing feelings with in any way shape or form or who offers caring and friendly advice. Sorry in advance for the long message: I have to admit; I made this big mistake in the past with my partner of 8 years. I would invalidate his emotions, feelings, and opinions. It took a lot of patience, self-reflecting, and understanding to finally understand that what I was doing was wrong. I really had to put myself in his shoes and when I finally understood how it felt that if who I am expressing as a person was shut down, you feel so frustrated and disheartened. I agree with TD Jakes because there was a point where my partner could not come to me with his issues and he felt like he could not open up knowingly that I would most likely shut him down. Regardless of our gender (in this case female), we all have to take accountability on how we make our spouses feel.

He was bad with finances and instead of telling me that he was struggling, or just stopping his gambling he let the phones get turned off. I had a client who’s husband was spending $500 a week at McDonald’s. She couldn’t figure out why he wasn’t losing weight on the diet she had him on, or why he was leaving early and getting home late everyday. So naturally she assumed he was cheating and the other woman was feeding him. He left her because instead of keeping her suspicions to herself she kept bringing it up and eventually went through his bank statements. I can tell you a million and ten stories of women who’s men weren’t cheating but had suspect behavior and less than ideal communication skills. A woman knows when you’re hiding something. She might not know what you’re hiding but she always knows you’re hiding it. My step dad tells my mother everything. Even the details he thinks are irrelevant. My brother asked him why does my mom need to know what color socks he’s wearing everyday?; and his reply was “because women need consistency to feel safe with you, if she know the color of my socks, she know i ain’t gon leave em at no broad house, cause she knows I know she expecting me to come home with them same socks on”. Same with money, jobs you have to travel on, hobbies with the boys; you guys don’t think you have to communicate. You don’t think the details matter, but they do. When you leave room for doubt no matter how crazy you may think she is for needing that much reassurance -especially if she has past trauma- doubt always creeps in. There is also the possibility that she’s cheating and projecting it on to you, but if you know her and trust her that shouldn’t be the case.

I told her if I was going to bars you would see spending at sed bar or ridiculous amount of atm withdrawal. 99% of my statements show our bills, rent, food shopping, an atm withdrawal from when I got another tattoo, 1% is gas energy drinks fast foods. I used to tell her “socks im wearing” but it seemed like I was upto something, as my sister told me. Im my wifes tail. She calls me, i a coming running. There were instances that I left work late but have cctv proof, to prove I was late just incase. I only go to parties with my family. My friends invite me but I rather stay at home with my kids instead of hanging out in bars and stuff. I lost half of my family in a short amount of time. I grew up with my uncle and grandmother, we praticaly had no childhood. At a young age I felt like I was in boot camp until I graduated high school. That’s why my military life is a piece cake. Even though I don’t go to church I pray and talk to God. I was going to sleep with this girl way,before I met my wife, but I liked someone else. So I asked God what to do, I just got up and told her I gotta go. She got upset but I didn’t care. I only cared of what I did. I controlled my urges and myself from making a mistake

Im going through a tough time with my spouse currently. I love her but she thinks other wise recently . Ever since we’ve met, I have been there for her and I still am regardless that we’re separated. My only proof a cctv from work, the HDR erased that day and back. My only proof. Came back home with her after awhile.Then I was activated for duty last year and that’s when it started to crumble

Bishop Jakes is perhaps speaking his truth which may resonate with a lot of men. Yet, it is a decision that a person makes to keep their thoughts and feelings to themselves. Indiscriminately blaming all women for using a man’s emotions against him is unfair and not true. This reckless chatter only adds to the ongoing problem of men blaming women and not taking responsibility for themselves. If anyone is in a relationship with someone that is manipulative and they are using your emotions against you, either the both of you get help or go your separate ways. We all need to take responsibility for ourselves, our own decisions, and actions.
