This is my in depth review of the T'EYES CC3 headunit and dash conversion which is for the IS200, IS300 and Altezza. The unit in the video is the 128gb model with 6gb of ram. I think that car icon or whatever you call it is for mainly for functionality with the 360 camera option. You will notice that the new LUX ONE uses it as an integration with the front DVR camera ADAS all on one screen.

That's exactly the same with me, my car's a lot fun to drive but most of the time you're just cruising and having a screen like this makes it so much better. Also I've surprisingly used it a lot for movies and shows already thinking I'd would be more of a gimmick but chilling in the car during lunch for example and playing a movie with the cars speakers is awesome.

13:57 OH MY GOD THANK YOU. I have the USA version from radiovox and only some of the AC controls were working. Support was no help so i followed what you did. The code is 8888 and you need to go to canbus settings and do and update then choose the same options like in thus video lc200 low and BOOM all my AC controls FINALLY WORKED! Only problem is its in celsius and we in usa use F. No big deal. Thanks again! By default it shows 06-12 low,

Hey man, I actually have a couple videos in the works but I just need to get time to edit. To do a video on gauges I'd have to find someone who wants to get them installed as mine is already setup but I could maybe make a video in general on what you need to turbo an IS200. For example the fuel return is a little complicated for some buy I think I can explain it well so let me know if you would be interested in something like that. I have some car videos coming soon and even stuff on building a SIM racing rig and PC if you're interested in that stuff 😄

Note: Password for the Factory menu is: "168" and the password for developer options is "681232" I added chapters onto the video to make it easier to find what part of it you want to watch first or rewatch. Two important timestamps I wanted to put down here are for setting up the Canbus Box for the climate controls to work which I show at 13:38 The other important one is how to setup the external microphone which came included for me with the 2K version and I show that at 17:19

I like the factory audio unit of my IS200 (Cassettes are cool!) but connectivity is a mess. Currently I use a transmitter, but the sound quality is just horrible. This unit look good, I might ask some service to put this in for me, I really don't want to bother with it myself.

Hi there, if you plug a controller in with a cable then it'll work no issue and I also got a controller working wirelessly and if I remember correctly it was an Xbox controller, the PS5 one had weird button mapping. I was able to use it in games without any issue from what I remember. It's been a while since I've used mine cause my car has been parked up for months as it's turned into a long term project 😂

i have the same screen in my 2008 infiniti g35 and I have the snowflake icon on the screen but when i click it, it doesnt show climate controls at all. I can turn the air on with my hard controls that are factory but its just hot air that blows out because i cant access the controls

Hey there. The climate control screen is only used if the screen replaces your OEM climate controls how my kit did but if your OEM controls are still there then there would be no point integrating them into the screen.

Hi, thank for the great info! Image a question though: can you connect an external screen? I was planning to get this head unit and replace the stock navigation screen to have one screen always showing maps (the old navigation in which you put the gauges) and one just regnal head unit things.

Hey there, I've been meaning to check the accessory called that come with it for you to give you an answer but it keeps slipping my mind. From what I remember it didn't come with any accessory cables to connect to an external display and even if it did there would be no way of controlling the second display meaning at best it would just mirror the main screen.

Im wanting to buy one for a LR discovery sport, which comes with a lame stock audio system with its own amp... im wondering the the adapters they provide take care of the audio out, or will i have to buy an amp to get audio out of this thing. Great Review! Couple questions for you hope you see this! 1. I have owned a regular cc3 in my last car and just installed a cc3 2k in the truck I just bought. I've noticed a couple "bugs" that I never experienced with the non 2k model. You used to be able to hold down the little bubble in the top right of the music widget at the home screen and you could select a different app (eg spotify) to use there instead of the T'eyes music app which I'm not a fan of.. Do you have the same issue or are you able to change the app? 2. Assuming I've done everything right it doesn't seem like my canbus decoder is working properly. When I go in reverse the reverse camera comes on and functions however none of my steering wheel controls work and I also dont get the "door open" image on the screen when I open a door. Not sure whats going on may have to shoot Dan from t'eyes australia an email and see if he can help. Have you had any canbus related issues? Cheers!

Hey man, firstly I'm not too sure about the widget you're referring to but you can send me a picture on my insta @ tariqautoworks and I'll take a look. Your steering controls might not be working because they're analogue, did you try programming them in the steering controls app? If that didn't work then also send me a link to the kit you bought and a picture of the canbus settings you choose. As for the door open warnings, did your OEM unit show them?

You'll find an app called touch assistant in the app drawer, go into that app and enable it. You can also adjust the size of the shortcut button. When you first set it, it may come up as the actual touch assistant where it has lots of other functions but I much prefer for it to be just for climate controls and this was a little odd to set up. Firstly once it's enable, it may automatically convert to the frost symbol and take you direct to climate controls which can sometimes take up to a few minutes even but I also found that going into the canbus settings and selecting the wrong model and going back to the right one will also make I convert and stay as a shortcut to go direct to climate controls. Hope this helps 😄

Hey man, I have the CC3 2K. To get the CC3 2K you have to add the CC3 I linked and then search for the 2K upgrade on the site and add it into the cart and then place the order with both things in the same transaction and then they will send you out a CC3 2K. Little confusing but I hope you understand it now 😄

They do have universal units you could install by buying the the fascia plates for an aftermarket headunit and then buy one of their 7" units. Hey man, I've been using it 3 months now and no issues with climate controls whatsoever 😄 I don't know if the other headunits will be trouble free but as far as I can tell, T'EYES put a lot of R&D into their CC3 and also make it for lots of other cars so I assume that ofcourse helps with the smooth experience. Another thing that might help is making a housing like I did as leaving PCBs loose might cause issues too. Thanks for watching 😄

Just an update, its been 6 months And no issues. Only problem is o wish it was a bit faster and there was since way to make the text a little bigger. I checked all the string and there is no zoom or text size setting, otherwise highly recommended

There's 2 ways to look at it, if you're going all out and getting the max storage and ram version like me then you might aswell spend an extra 55 euro I think it is to get a 2k screen for the flex so you can tell others it has a 2k screen 😂 but honestly you're never going to be close enough to see pixels on the regular version especially when driving, and honestly even the 3gb ram version I reckon would be plenty for most people and it's triple what nearly all other cheap android headunits come with but only costs 330 I think for the whole conversion which is very reasonable. As for the colour reproduction, both versions are pretty similar judging by KZbin videos on the regular version and as for the 2k one anyways, the colours are great and watching movies on it is awesome and something I have actually used time to time. I couldn't imagine watching a movie on a little 7" screen hiding behind the gear stick 😂. Overall though to sum up, if you're using it mainly for maps and music then the regular one with 3gb of ram will be more than sufficient but if you plan on consuming a lot of content like movies and shows on it or playing games time to time (I'll make an update video soon on a way to get a wireless controller on it) then I'd say it might be worth getting more ram and storage and maybe getting the 2k screen too then. Sorry for the essay. Hope it helps 😄

@@f1nn258 I don't think it matters if the game is new or old cause I tried GTA San Andreas and while it is old obviously, it ran super smooth even though it's more demanding than most android games. I think what matters more are the controls in game, if they are complex then it would be super awkward to play and that's why a controller is a must for some games like GTA but if it's something like fruit ninja or angry birds then using the screen would be just fine and probably good if you've got a passenger since there's probably some good multiplayer games out there. I hope you enjoy your one anyways 😄

@@f1nn258 I'd say to go for the best stuff for your car if you're keeping it long term and that's why I got the top spec for myself because I plan on keeping this car and continue building it for years to come since projects never finish 🥲 and so I buy the best for it in terms of pretty much everything from maintenance to mods but if you have the intention to get a different car in the next few years then even the base model will do everything fine for a long time to come. But I guess it all comes down to how much you love the car and how long you want to keep it 😄 To summarise anyways I'd say going for the middle one might not be worth it cause you're only getting 1gb more of ram and honestly even 32gb storage should be plenty but getting the top spec isn't a bad idea since you get double the ram and essentially bullet proof the headunit for many many years to come. I really hope I don't make it even harder for you to decide now from my answer 😂 also if you're interested, I might make a video installing Cusco adjustable upper control arms when I get time over the coming days 😄

Hey man, there is an option in settings but the readout defaults to negative 40 degrees Celsius so it can't communicate properly with the sensor but I've let T'EYES know and they may possibly incorporate it in a future update. However if you're connected to the internet, it gets the weather from your area and shows it on the home screen and even a little icon to show if it's sunny or cloudy and etc.

@@carloscedeno2567 Hi there, is check an the connections behind the unit and if they look fine then make sure you still have the correct canbus settings. If neither are the issue, do a factory reset and firmware update (more info on Teyes Australia website)

The built in mic sounds terrible the best thing you can do is wire up the existing factory mic in whatever car you have it sounds much better than the included external mic

That's to be expected though of course and all aftermarket headunits would have a similar situation. In my case my vehicle didn't have an external mic from factory so I installed the T'EYES one and even though my car is super loud people still hear me loud and clear 😄

​@@TariqAutoWorks The included external worked for a while then started making weird noises annoying everyone. Head unit handles both 2 & 3 pole 3.5mm external mics of any resistance so its no trouble finding a replacement if necessary. The cars factory/built in one does sound better, it may be better/cheaper using a junkyard one mounting it over a small hole through the interior light housing, thats all my factory one is its a rectangular thing that sits over the hole. Wreckers probably only sell them for $5. The head unit sounds great i'm really happy with it its better than i expected.

this seemed pretty cool to me at first but after thinking it through i gotta say this thing is completely useless. it's literally everything you have on your smartphone, except you can also control some stuff on your car. it's absolutely not worth the money in the long shot, literally just get a simple smartphone holder for your car and it'll be 90% the same experience minus the bigger screen and a/c, radio control, reverse camera, etc.

I would disagree as I've used it a lot of times to watch movies or play games which I wouldn't do on a smaller phone screen with the same amount of enjoyment. My phone also automatically turns the hotspot on when it connects to the headunit so I get into the car and don't even have to take my phone out and I've got directions and music and whatever else I could need and I find that extremely handy to not have to constantly put my phone in the holder especially when I'm running errands where I'm getting in and out the car a lot.

BUYER BEWARE!! NOT RECOMMENDED- I tried so hard to like this unit. T'eyes has shown me the worst support I've ever received from a company. This isn't even the complete list of straight failure that I've had to endure from a company that doesn't have it together at all. My wife has a Subaru and somehow her unit survived a small electrical fire at the power harness and the head unit (their own connection). I have a Lexus and the wiring harness is rather complex in comparison. The 10+ connector harness they sent with the unit was literally falling apart upon arrival. Install didn't work of course. Takes a few weeks to realize they don't have any documentation for the vehicle and are trying to trouble shoot a harness/circuit they don't even have a schematic for, let alone the understanding of how its to be connected. Of the 7 people I've been in contact with, the first three that the in box documentation directed me towards, weren't even T'eyes staff but with a major retail site claiming to be T'eyes. And only two responded more than once and they pretend to offer support while having no understanding of the situation or that what they are asking to be done has been completed and was unsuccessful. It really just gets worse with every attempt. They'll make me pay to get a refund and create more hardship. All they had to do was send a intact harness 30 days ago and I'd have a working product and they wouldn't have a former customer in disbelief. I even offered to buy one and they still won't do it.. Go with a better brand. One that wont ask you to rewire 16 points on a broken electrical harness that you already paid. I own an automotive aftermarket company so I had already done everything on my own with the Lexus schematic and it still the harness is too far into deterioration. I would need to hard wire my own intact harness so just my AC will work.. 8 chat messages, 4 web forms, 32 emails and 37 days, still no working unit and not a single question answered in a fashion that added any value different between T'eyes support and a duck. I wish I was joking BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK

Hey man, was this for an IS200 kit? Did you buy from the T'EYES website btw? I spoke to Dan who is the owner and he was really helpful and patient when I was asking a few questions before ordering. If you want, I can maybe see if I'm able to refer you to him and he can see if something can be done. The harnesses and fascias are usually sourced from a third party company and they are what mainly cause issues but that would happen on any unit that could get bundled with a bad harness or frame from the 3rd party company and as far as the T'EYES screen goes, everybody definitely thinks it's the best aftermarket screen out there and after having mine for over half a year I definitely agree because I've used systems in brand new vehicles that aren't as good. I think in your case you might have got unlucky with the wiring harness that came from the third party company but I'm sure they might be able to organise a replacement.

@@T0tenkampf Nope website. Direct. They eventually sent me another Harness. But the sub runs through the front Channels, so my 15" JL Audio W6 gets the same signal as my 6.0 components... With no way except to bypass The harness Entirely. Strange. And 1 install, removal and installation again and the harness is starting to fray just like the first.
