@@evanku-bv8jn Tubo is Pinyin of 吐蕃, but Pinyin didn’t exist back then, and the name was always Tibet in English. Even now when you write 西藏 in English officially it’s not Xizang or Tubo, but Tibet. Even 西藏自治区 official name in English is Tibet Autonomous Region. 吐蕃is just the Chinese way of translating “Tibet”, which itself is the English way of translating བོད་ The Chinese naming of Tibet is Xizang.

@@WSOJ3 你不懂中文,也看不懂中国的历史文献,中国的汉字记录就是 “吐蕃”,从吐蕃这个政权建立(一千年前)开始,中国人的历史记录就是吐蕃。Tibet是你们英国人后面的记录,The English word Tibet originated from Turks and Mongols who called Tibetans "Tubot" and was introduced to the west by Arabs in the Yuan Dynasty, that is, it originated from Tibetans calling themselves bod.
@@WSOJ3 the name 吐蕃(tubo) in Chinese is a much older translation than Tibet in English. The Chinese traditionally called the Tibetan-ruled Tibetan plateau as 吐蕃. However, with the evolution of history, people gradually used the 西藏(Xizang) instead of 吐蕃 to call Tibet. So there are 2 name for chinese to call Tibet. Generally speaking, when talking about historical issues, people tend to use the ancient name 吐蕃 to refer to ancient Tibet , and when talking about modern issues, people tend to use the name 西藏 to refer to modern or recent Tibet. They are all correct.
