*Impressive the most !!*. No question about that !. All of them perform so soft and in perfect synchronization ! I guess the movement is via a chain with magnets underneath the board, right ?. Either way, your work is outstanding !!. Congratulations and cheers, John from Chile.

jhonny1392 Thank you. The road is a linear motor, just a series of coils on a printed circuit board. It does work much like a conveyor belt, but the only moving parts are the vehicles themselves.

ModelRail Musings Oh, Yes !. I saw this system once here in YT. So, is no handmade, but a commercial one. I undestand there is a microprocessor that puts coils ON and OFF for the perfect and continuous movement of the cars. What I told you before was because there is another vid that shows this car system for Z scale. It's hand made and as I mention before, the cars has the same principle as yours but its movement is via a chain that goes under the lane activated through an electric motor and the chain has some magnets inserted. So, cars follows these magnets from the surface. Is a more inexpensive method to do the same as you show here. Thanks, and many greetins from Chile, John.

Can the cars run slower?
@modelrailmusings59813 жыл бұрын
Not on that layout, as the off-the-shelf controller just has one fixed speed. My later ones can go as slow as 1mm/sec (2km/h in 1:450 scale).
