另一個強烈的颱風已經席捲了台灣。我們對所有受到強風和暴雨影響的人線上慰問。我們一家人都很好，感謝您的祈禱和留言。請繼續為受颱風影響的人祈禱。
這些自然災害可能帶來挑戰，並造成生命和財產的重大損失。在艱難時期，我們應該尋找機會幫助有需要的人。同時，這些自然災害也讓我們看到：
生命的珍貴和脆弱
生命是短暫的
我們常常心裡擔心的事往往並不是最重要的
我們擁有的一切都會衰退，無法帶來持久的快樂和幸福
這個世界充滿了痛苦、黑暗和絕望
我們需要一位救主（我們無法自救）。
因為人類犯了罪，所以上帝有一天需要審判世界。
人類選擇反抗上帝，因此世界正在承受後果（集體上），我們也都將受到上帝的審判（個人上）。
我們面對這個充滿天災人禍的世界，有時會思考問題出在哪裡？
……問題的核心在於我們的心。我們是罪人，每天都在冒犯上帝。那麼，解決方案是什麼呢？
聖經對我們的處境和這個世界上痛苦的最終原因（罪）有著深刻的描述。在這黑暗憂傷的世界裡，有好消息--
神愛我們：
唯有基督在我們還作罪人的時候為我們死，神的愛就在此向我們顯明了。（羅馬書五章八節）
神愛世人，甚至將他的獨生子賜給他們，叫一切信他的，不至滅亡，反得永生。（約翰福音3:16）
一切都將被更新：
我又看見一個新天新地，因為先前的天地已經過去了.... 神要擦去他們一切的眼淚，不再有死亡，也不再有悲哀、哭號、疼痛，因為以前的事都過去了。坐寶座的說：看哪，我將一切都更新了！（啟示錄21:1-5）

Another strong typhoon has swept through Taiwan. Our heart goes out to all that were affected by the strong wind and heavy rain. Our family is doing well, and we appreciate your prayers and comments. Please continue to pray for those affected by the Typhoon.
These natural disasters can be challenging, and cause great loss to life and property. In the midst of challenging times, we should look for opportunities to help those in need. And at the same time, these natural disasters should help us to see things a little bit clearer-
Among other things, they help us to see that:
1. life is precious and very fragile
2. life is short
3. the things that we worry about most days are often not that important
4. everything that we own is decaying, and cannot bring lasting happiness
5. the world is full of suffering, darkness, and despair
6. we need a Savior (we can’t save ourselves)
The the result of humanity’s sin (Gen 3:17, Ecclesiastes 7:20, Rom. 3:23) is a world that is under judgement from God. Mankind has chosen open and active rebellion against God, thus this world is suffering the consequences (collectively), and we will all be judged by God (individually).
The external challenges that we face should be a reminder that things are not right… Something is wrong at the core. And that core is our hearts. We are sinners, and we offend God every day. So what is the solution to our problems?
Well, the Bible speaks to our condition and the ultimate reason why there is suffering in this world (sin). On the backdrop of this darkness, there is good news-
God loves us: "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
All things will be made new: “Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, … ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”
Do you want to know the secret to standing firm no matter the storms or challenges you face in life? Repent of your sins and believe in Jesus. He will forgive you of your sins, give you eternal life, and pour out His many blessings on you. He is the only way, the truth, and the life!
