thanks for sharing your experiences! regarding the taiwanese celeb, the issue is that she claimed to have gotten it from a reseller, but she didn't provide any proof (she could have shown some records of her purchase with the reseller). in contrast, she had an incident previously where people thought her fendi hat was fake, and she immediately did a video showing her receipt even called her SA etc in a huge rage. in contrast, she seemed a lot more subdued with the hermes incident. The knock on effect is that a lot of resellers got flak from this & a lot of hardworking businesses are being penalized. If she really bought such expensive bags from a reseller and they were fake, there would be lawsuits involved but the ending was just very ambiguous from her. PLUS the real reason why she lost credibility was that a lot of her chanel collection, including vintage bags, and also even modern chanel earrings were exposed to have glaring differences from the real. Stuff that is very difficult to explain away. So all of this has led to a huge trust and credibility issue on her part, leading people to believe that she was knowingly buying fakes and got caught. Which for personal use might be ok, but as a celebrity who showed these luxury goods online and monetized these videos, and also showed them on TV, basically using these items to earn money, it does seem inappropriate; not to mention an affront to the luxury brands
