I agree with TK, I grew up. being told different things about God and religion until I turned 18 and starting asking some uncomfortable questions my mother did not have an explanation for, because I never understood why Jesus' picture in our house and his statue at church was of a white man with blue eyes when they say he was from Egypt (race is not the issue here but geographically wise it did not make sense) - I then questioned why it is so easy for a man who commits sin to ask for forgiveness and immediately exempt themselves from the consequences which went against what I was taught that every reaction has a consequences good or bad.
