One thing i never saw before is that when April is interviewing Aska the red rope thing on her leg is on the wrong leg XD. Since she is facing the left side of the screen they just re used the 2P sprite. At the time people where not so picky about those little things so game developers used these tecniques to avoid extra costs and developing time. The same thing happens when Asuka change sides during the gameplay.

I am sure she is the most obscure TMNT character. Her real name is Mitsu(Meets-sue) from the third TMNT movie.

Mitsu and Aska are two different people. Aska was created for the game.

VideoGameMasters Which is strange. In the beta version of the game, she was called "Mitsu", but, she was changed into an original character for unknown reasons.

Yeah, I know. But even then it would have been weird since Mitsu didn't really do much in the movie than be a love interest and maybe shoot an arrow (it's been a long time, I don't remember), but she sure as hell didn't dress like that. Maybe when TMNT III bombed they decided to change it?

my dad let me buy a game on my birthday, i was SF2 TURBO but it was out of stock, but they told me a new game is coming in a few minutes and it is ninja turtles, so it came, liked the box and bought it, it was like $120 those days, had so much fun and i was allowed 1 game a year, great time, still have the game in box and it grew in value also, love how the japanese version is a bit different.

Great memories! At that time, ninja turtles became a hot topic in Japan as well. Many ninja turtles games have been released by Konami. I want to go back to those days. The Japan version is unregulated.

Nice! One of the best fighters on the SNES. The US version is slightly different, not as good and has some censored outfits. This is the "real" game for sure!

This version was released AFTER Tournament Fighters. But I do agree with you though.

Mii Brawler Shade I’m aware of that. That’s why I’m curious as to what went on behind the scenes. My best guess is that the US version was rushed out so a lot of stuff that was left out was implemented in the Japanese version. For example (IIRC) you can’t use desperation moves in the US version’s story mode, but you can in the Japanese one.

I got this game years ago when it came out on the snes on axident over turtles in time. I was so heartbroken knowing I got this instead. But when I learned street fighter ii turbo 10 years later after .... 😄 ( * evil m bison smiling face *) Aska is my best then either Leo or Raph

海外版の動画も見て、比較してみたのですが、アスカの勝ちポーズが、日本版と全然違います。日本版は、腕を挙げているのですが、海外版だと腕組みしてました。 多分、胸が揺れる描写が、駄目なんでしょうね。 あと、お尻の描写が、海外版の場合、露出度が抑えられています。 日本もそれなりに性表現の規制はあることは、あるけど、海外に比べたら、まだ緩い気がします。

やっぱり海外版は規制が厳しいんですね。 バトルブレイズのフィリアも生足だったのが海外版ではタイツ？履かされて露出度が抑えられてました。 あと女性に対する暴力描写も厳しいみたいですね。 有名なのはファイナルファイトのポイズン&ロキシーでアメリカからクレームがあって女性からニューハーフに性転換しましたね（国内版では女性との事）
